A roaming camera in a stadium. An onboard feed from a race car. A temporary position along a half-marathon route. Live sports production needs sustained video uplink while cameras and crews move. Private 5G gives production teams a dedicated wireless layer they can design around coverage, capacity, mobility, and traffic priorities. But a low radio latency figure tells only part of the story. Encoding, routing, backhaul, and decoding all affect the final feed. The complete camera-to-production path needs testing under realistic load, movement, and failure conditions. Our guide covers the architecture, infrastructure, and practical checks behind a Private 5G broadcast deployment, with examples from the FISU - International University Sports Federation World University Games and motorsport. 📡 Private 5G Explained #6: Inside a Private 5G Network A camera captures video. A robot reports its position. A sensor detects a change in operating conditions. What happens next? The radio access network connects the device and carries its data across private coverage. The 5G Core authenticates the device, establishes its session, applies network policies, manages mobility, and routes the traffic to the appropriate destination. Edge and enterprise systems then process the data—supporting applications such as video analytics, automation, operational monitoring, and data management. Information and instructions can also travel back through the same layers, allowing enterprise applications to interact with connected equipment in the field. Security, quality of service, mobility, and visibility extend across the architecture, helping the network support different devices and operational priorities. Radio. Core. Edge. Applications. Each layer performs a distinct role, but their value comes from working together as one controlled Private 5G network. #Private5G #5GCore #RAN #EdgeComputing #EnterpriseConnectivity #5G

📡 Private 5G Explained #4: How Private 5G and Wi-Fi Work Together Most enterprise environments support very different devices and workloads. An AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) moving through a warehouse does not have the same connectivity needs as a guest laptop in a meeting room. Cameras, sensors, field teams, office devices, and visitors each place different demands on the network. 📍 This is why Private 5G and Wi-Fi can be more valuable together. Private 5G is well suited to operational workloads that benefit from mobility, wide-area coverage, traffic control, and predictable performance. Wi-Fi provides familiar indoor access, broad device compatibility, and high-capacity connectivity for everyday users. When both connect to the same enterprise applications, edge infrastructure, and security environment, organizations can match each workload with the technology that fits it best. The result is a more complete connectivity layer designed around how the enterprise actually operates. #Private5G #WiFi #EnterpriseConnectivity #IndustrialConnectivity #WirelessNetworks

📡 Private 5G Explained #1: Why an Integrated gNB Matters One of the biggest challenges in deploying a cellular network isn’t the radio technology itself. It’s everything around it. Traditional deployments often involve multiple hardware components, extensive cabling, separate power systems, and integration work before the network is even ready to go live. Every additional component adds complexity, installation time, maintenance effort, and another potential point of failure. An integrated gNB takes a different approach. By combining the radio, baseband, and intelligence into a single unit, deployment becomes much simpler—from transportation and installation to configuration and ongoing operations. For enterprises, that translates into faster deployment, a smaller site footprint, and lower operational complexity. It’s one of the reasons integrated architectures are becoming increasingly popular for industrial sites, campuses, ports, utilities, mining operations, and temporary deployments where simplicity matters just as much as performance. This is the first post in our Private 5G Explained series, where we’ll explore some of the technologies that make modern Private 5G deployments faster, simpler, and more practical. 💡 Simple architecture doesn’t just reduce hardware—it reduces deployment risk. #Private5G #EnterpriseConnectivity #WirelessNetworks #IndustrialConnectivity #5G #Telecom #PrivateNetworks

📦 Private 5G Blueprint #8: Warehouses & Distribution Centres Every item entering a distribution centre begins a chain of connected actions. It is scanned at receiving, moved by a conveyor or AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle), placed into inventory, picked for an order, checked again, and transferred to a loading bay. Each handoff produces data. Each movement depends on workers, devices, machines, and warehouse systems remaining connected across the facility. Private 5G can provide a dedicated wireless layer spanning aisles, storage zones, fulfilment areas, and loading bays. It can connect handheld scanners and RFID systems, support mobility for AGVs, robots, and forklifts, link conveyors and sortation equipment, and carry video from operational and security cameras. The same network can connect these assets with warehouse-management, inventory, and control systems—helping operators maintain a more complete view of stock, equipment, and workflows. Dedicated coverage and controlled traffic support operational applications, while reliable mobility helps connected assets stay online as they move. The objective is to keep the physical flow of goods and the digital flow of information aligned—from receiving through dispatch. #Private5G #Warehousing #Logistics #SupplyChain #IndustrialAutomation #5G #Connectivity

⛏️ Private 5G Blueprint #10: Mining and Remote Operations A mine is not one fixed operating area. Haul trucks move across long routes. Excavation changes the terrain. Field teams work between pits, processing areas, workshops, and remote assets. Cameras, drones, machines, and sensors continuously generate operational data. Private 5G can provide a dedicated wireless layer across this distributed and changing environment. It can support connectivity for vehicle telemetry and autonomous equipment, remote-control applications, worker communications, environmental sensors, asset monitoring, and high-uplink video from cameras and drones. When connected with edge systems, data can also be processed closer to the operation—supporting faster analysis, local automation, and centralized supervision without sending every workload to a distant cloud. Reliable mobility helps connected vehicles and equipment maintain service as they move, while controlled traffic policies can prioritize important operational applications. Because mining environments evolve, the network must also be planned for expansion, changing coverage requirements, difficult terrain, and remote locations. The objective is to connect the pit, the processing site, mobile assets, field teams, and the control centre as one visible and coordinated operation. #Private5G #Mining #5G #IndustrialAutomation #Connectivity
