AFRICA’S CEMENT INDUSTRY IS MOVING — FAST! Africa’s cement industry is entering a new phase — driven by capacity expansion, infrastructure investment, changing trade flows and the transition to lower-carbon production. The signals are already visible across the continent. 🇲🇦 Morocco: Cement deliveries increased 27.7% year-on-year in June 2026, with ready-mix demand up 38% and infrastructure deliveries continuing to grow. By August, infrastructure-related deliveries were still up 20% year-on-year, highlighting the continuing impact of major projects. 🇬🇭 Ghana: A US$110 million calcined clay facility has been commissioned in Tema, with annual production capacity of around 400,000 tonnes of calcined clay. The project demonstrates how local raw materials and LC3 technology are moving lower-carbon cement from concept to industrial-scale production. Across Africa, cement producers, investors and technology providers are responding to the same fundamental questions: 🔹 Where will the next capacity expansions and investments take place? 🔹 How are infrastructure and housing projects changing cement demand and distribution? 🔹 Can calcined clay, alternative fuels and other technologies reduce clinker dependence and production costs? 🔹 How are producers preparing for carbon regulation, decarbonisation and new market requirements? 🔹 What do changing cement, clinker and cementitious materials trade flows mean for regional opportunities? 🔹 Where are the opportunities for technology providers, equipment suppliers, traders, financiers and project partners? 15th Africa CementTRADE Summit 2026 11–12 November 2026 | Casablanca, Morocco The summit brings together cement producers, traders, investors, contractors, technology providers and industry experts to examine the market developments, projects and technologies influencing Africa’s cement industry. Meet the decision-makers. Understand the market. Identify the next opportunity in Africa’s cement industry. 📍 Casablanca, Morocco 📅 11–12 November 2026
