Peer Exchange: cechat Community Showcase 15 Oct from 3.40pm AEDT Discover how colleagues across Catholic education are safely using AI to enhance teaching and learning. Unlike traditional webinars, our upcoming Peer Exchange hands the stage entirely over to teachers and school leaders from across our community to deliver live demonstrations of the custom agents and SNACs they have built to support students and streamline administrative workloads. Each rapid-fire, 10-minute presentation will share the honest story behind the build, explaining how it was orchestrated, where it sits within curriculum scope and sequences or staff workflows, its pedagogical or mission-driven purpose and what changed for students or staff. Participants will also gain an exclusive first look at brand-new cechat features coming next to the platform. Whether you want to discover a new agent to simplify your lesson preparation, ask your burning implementation questions, or borrow successful builds to adapt for your own school, you will leave with fresh, practical ideas from educators who teach and lead just like you do. How do we translate ethical principles into practical guidelines for the classroom? It begins with deep, deliberate and collaborative dialogue. The working sessions of the Inaugural Catholic Education Congress on Artificial Intelligence are well underway at Mary MacKillop Place, and the discussions today have been both extensive and robust. With excellent attendance on the ground in North Sydney and vibrant online engagement from educational leaders across the country, this strong nationwide participation underscores just how vital this conversation is for the future of our schools. Hosted by CEnet at the request of the Australian Catholic Bishops, the summit has already surfaced some very clear, powerful themes. At the absolute heart of today's work is the centrality of Catholic values - ensuring that any future governance model is fundamentally anchored in care for the individual, the common good and the preservation of human dignity. Delegates are collaborating deeply across three key areas: 🟨 Grounding Technology in Core Values: Keeping our shared moral compass at the centre of classroom technology. 🟨 Defining Practical Guardrails: Translating ethical principles into clear, actionable digital safety and data policies. 🟨 Mapping a National Roadmap: Shifting from high-level dialogue to a structured, 12-month plan to support schools. There is a profound sense of shared purpose driving today's sessions as delegates collaborate to build a proactive, values-driven blueprint for Australian classrooms. Stay tuned as we continue to share key insights and strategic milestones from these sessions! CEnet.
