Three presentations and a panel discussion. One digital thread. #QIF in action. Join Capvidia at Nordic MBE Forum hosted by ARIADNE Engineering, October 7–8 in Västerås, Sweden, to explore how QIF connects engineering data, manufacturing, and quality across OEMs and suppliers. Our three presentations and panel discussion: 🔹 QIF: A Standard for Unambiguous Engineering Content Exchange Between OEMs and Suppliers. Presenter: Tomasz Luniewski 🔹 MBD-Driven Weld Automation: From CAD to Robot Programming. Presenters: Ognjen Dragašević and Jarkko Siltamäki from Visual Components 🔹 Closing the Quality Loop using QIF MBE. Presenters: Luka Popovic and Simon Heroux from PolyWorks 🔹 Expert panel dicussion on MBE w/ Aleksa Dopudja. From automating welds to sharing unambiguous engineering data, closing the quality loop, and talking real-world MBE implementation, we’ll show how a standards-based digital thread supports practical manufacturing workflows. We look forward to sharing ideas, answering questions, and connecting with you! Explore the agenda: https://mbeforum.se/ #NordicMBEForum #DigitalThread #MBD

VALIDATE AT THE SOURCE. AUTOMATE DOWNSTREAM. Downstream automation is only as reliable as the engineering information coming out of CAD. At IMTS 2026, see two Capvidia workflows that put trusted, machine-readable engineering intent to work: 1️⃣ TURN NX WELD DATA INTO ROBOT PATHS Export weld symbols, geometry, and manufacturing information from Siemens NX into QIF. MBDVidia identifies the features forming each weld joint and calculates the normal and tangent vectors needed to define valid robot-access areas and welding approach directions. That intelligence is stored in QIF. Visual Components then reads it through Import QIF Weld and automatically generates the weld paths for robot simulation and programming. The result: less manual robot programming and a faster path from CAD to production. 2️⃣ CATCH MBD ISSUES INSIDE CREO MBDReady Check brings Capvidia’s model-validation capabilities directly into PTC Creo through the MBDConnect plugin. Designers can check semantic PMI against ASME and ISO requirements, identify annotations that are not machine-readable and correct problems before releasing the model downstream. Obvious issues can be corrected automatically. Designers can also repair annotation associations, add missing reference surfaces or ignore accepted exceptions. The result: trusted PMI that CMM programming and other downstream systems can consume without discovering preventable problems later. One workflow validates engineering intent at the source. The other carries it directly into manufacturing automation. See both workflows at IMTS - International Manufacturing Technology Show 2026. 📍 Capvidia · Booth 134510 📅 September 14–19 · Chicago We'll see you there: https://lnkd.in/gfD3H5TV #IMTS2026 #MBD #QIF #SiemensNX #Creo #RoboticWelding #ManufacturingAutomation #DigitalThread

MBD without GD&T still leaves room for guesswork. A CAD model represents perfect geometry. Manufacturing produces real parts with variation. GD&T bridges those two worlds. It communicates geometry, allowable variation, and feature relationships through a standardized language that design, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers can interpret consistently. For MBD and MBE, that clarity is essential. If tolerancing requirements are incomplete or ambiguous, downstream teams must still interpret the designer’s intent, fill in missing information and determine how to manufacture or inspect the part. That uncertainty limits automation and creates opportunities for errors, scrap and rework. At Capvidia, GD&T expertise informs our MBD validation software, standards-based workflows, technical knowledge base and customer guidance. Our growing GD&T knowledge base features technical content provided by Bryan Fischer of TDP360, the author of Model-Based Enterprise: Achieving Lasting Value with MBD and MBE, and a specialist in ASME GD&T, ISO GPS, tolerance analysis, and product geometry management. At IMTS 2026, see how Capvidia helps manufacturers: 👉 Validate semantic PMI and GD&T before release 👉 Preserve requirements as structured, machine-readable data 👉 Reuse trusted engineering intent across manufacturing, inspection and the supply chain Bring your toughest GD&T, CAD or MBD question and discuss it directly with Capvidia’s subject-matter experts at IMTS - International Manufacturing Technology Show. 📍 Booth 134510 📅 September 14–19 · Chicago We'll see you there: https://lnkd.in/gfD3H5TV #IMTS2026 #GDT #MBD #MBE #SemanticPMI
