There is a big difference between designing a pump package in isolation and actually integrating it into a live brownfield asset. For the Bestla-Brage tieback, the chemical injection system had to be fully modular to allow for a practical, phased installation on the existing platform. We just shared some details and photos of the final compact and modular supply. Whether for a new FPSO or platform, or a brownfield project, check out our company.

Delivering multiple pump packages for an FPSO or a brownfield platform adds another layer of complexity to the spatial planning. For the recent Bestla-to-Brage project, we engineered both the methanol and chemical injection systems for the existing platform. Coordinating the footprint and integration of two distinct packages into a mature North Sea asset required some strict design controls. We’ve shared some technical notes on how both systems were designed and delivered side-by-side. You can read the project overview here. #ModularDesign #MethanolInjection #SubseaTieback #OffshoreEquipment #Calder

In our experience, successful FPSOs and brownfield platforms almost always benefit from footprint optimization. We recently finished supplying the pump packages for the Bestla-to-Brage project. We've documented the entire process - from the initial spatial challenges to the final modular design - in a new case study. If your team is currently looking at brownfield modifcations or FPSO builds, the technical breakdown in this case study might offer some useful insights. #ProjectDelivery #OilAndGasIndustry #OffshoreProjects #EngineeringExcellence #Calder

When working on FPSOs or brownfield platforms, space is almost always the biggest headache. For the recent Bestla-to-Brage project, the platform required a high-output methanol injection package, but the available deck space was strictly limited. We've published a case study detailing how our design team managed to condense the footprint without losing vital maintenance access. Worth a look if you're dealing with similar compact design challenges. #OffshorePlatform #BrownfieldIntegration #OilAndGas #Engineering #Calder
