This month, America turned 250. We celebrated our freedoms and ideals — but behind every ideal stands something tangible: infrastructure. None of it built itself. The power plants, refineries, and ports that made us a world power were raised by welders, pipefitters, electricians, and operators. Now we need that workforce again — by one estimate, the U.S. will need 140,000 more skilled craft professionals by 2030 to build the infrastructure for AI alone. These aren't fallback jobs. They're careers where Americans can earn a good living, support a family, and build rare skill where craftsmanship meets advanced technology. At Bechtel Corporation, 128 years have taught us the same lesson again and again: the surest way to build the future is to invest in the people who will build it. That's why we're proud to be a builder of builders. I explore that idea in Fortune today. If we invest in people the way past generations invested in us, the next chapter of American progress won't just be dreamed. It will be built. You can read it here: https://lnkd.in/eeT4A3_j
