💡 New tech blog alert: AI can build the prototype. But can it build the product? AI can now turn an idea into a clickable prototype in hours instead of weeks. But a polished demo can create the impression that a product is nearly finished, while the difficult work around architecture, security, testing, data handling, monitoring, and ownership has barely started. In our latest Bolt Tech Blog, Fedor Novikov takes a practical look at AI prototyping and the trade-offs behind that speed. A useful read for engineers, product managers, designers, and anyone who has ever seen an impressive demo and thought, “Great, so we are almost done?” Let’s find the answer in the full article: https://lnkd.in/e3g6N9_y

💡 New tech blog alert: Did you know that leading a feature can mean much more than writing the code? It can mean: 👉 Designing a technical solution across teams and tech stacks 👉 Coordinating development and removing blockers 👉 Managing the rollout and monitoring the feature in production At Bolt, engineers take ownership from the initial idea through system design, development, launch, and monitoring. In our latest Bolt Tech Blog, Senior Software Engineer Daria explains how feature leading works in practice — from defining scope and preparing the system design to coordinating development and managing a gradual rollout. A useful read for engineers who want to strengthen their product thinking, influence technical decisions, and take greater ownership of outcomes. What does it take to move from completing tasks to leading a feature end to end? Let’s find the answer in the full article: https://lnkd.in/dgmjk9XU

💡 New Bolt Tech Blog alert: What if your dashboards loaded almost twice as fast while costing millions less to run? That's exactly what happened after Bolt migrated one of its biggest analytics systems. Behind the scenes, that meant migrating a system handling 10 million queries monthly, translating millions of lines of code, and making sure thousands of dashboards kept working exactly as before. The result? 👉 Queries are 45% faster on average 👉 Costs are down 40% annually, saving 7 figures 👉 Thousands of people across Bolt now rely on the new setup every day In our latest article, Mangesh, Senior Software Engineer, explains how a side project evolved into one of Bolt's largest data platform migrations. 💡 New Bolt Tech Blog alert: AI can turn a Figma design into working UI code in minutes. So why are teams still building the same component twice? At Bolt, designers were already using AI coding agents to create working components. But those components lived in a separate Storybook while engineers rebuilt them for the production library. We updated our workflow so designers can contribute directly to the component library behind bolt.eu, serving 60M+ users across 50+ markets. 👉 Designers validate: visuals, states, motion, and tokens 👉 Engineers review: accessibility, APIs, and architecture 👉 The reviewed component is the one that ships The result: routine UI components now go from roughly a week to about an hour. AI handles repetitive implementation work. Engineers focus on the architecture and decisions that keep the system reliable as it scales. In our latest Tech Blog, Tech Lead Burak Özdemir shares how, in collaboration with Senior Product Designer Conor McLaughlin, the team made this workflow possible, using agent guardrails, one shared library, and focused review to reduce front-end drift. 💡 New Bolt Tech Blog alert: One feature started with a Slack message. An AI coding agent helped take it to production. A colleague noticed that a driver partner had completed more than 17,000 trips across five profiles, but the app only showed the history from the latest one. Around 90 minutes later, the Slack message had become a Jira ticket. Then BACA — Bolt's AI coding agent — picked it up. BACA explored the codebase, prepared the changes and improved its solution based on engineers' feedback. Engineers stayed in control, reviewing every change before anything could ship. In our latest Bolt Tech Blog, Dmitrii Shilonosov explains how we're using AI beyond prototypes to support real software development at scale. Take a look: https://lnkd.in/eTDW34Tm
