The hardest part of detecting data center opposition risk isn’t finding bots. It’s knowing when opposition is organic, and when something else is driving the conversation. Our RAV3N Research team analyzed 770,000 posts across 8 narratives tied to 5 hyperscalers. What we found was not in the volume. It was in the behavior: • 93–98% of state-aligned posts were reshares, not original content • 42–50% bot-like activity within those ecosystems, versus a 32–37% baseline • 28.4% bot-like behavior at the project level, concentrated at the network’s edges With 70% of Americans now opposing local data center expansion, and opposition projected to block or delay $225B+ across 75+ U.S. projects in 2026, understanding the behavior behind the narrative matters. Foreign state-aligned networks are amplifying U.S.-based opposition to AI data centers, often by sharing existing content rather than creating their own. BLACKBIRD.AI RAV3N Research found that reposts and shares of existing anti-data center content made up 93–98% of posts from the foreign state-aligned networks analyzed. For CTOs and technology leaders, foreign amplification adds another risk to map as data center projects face community opposition and regulatory pressure. Full analysis here: https://bit.ly/4gqTBvi

Gartner's latest report outlines why every enterprise needs a cross-functional trust council to combat disinformation threats and manage narrative risk. With AI and social media accelerating the spread of disinformation, most organizations don't have clear ownership or protocols for responding. To effectively counter disinformation, Gartner recommends comms, security, and risk leaders and enterprises: • Form a cross-functional trust council • Define policies for consuming and publishing accurate information • Identify harmful narratives quickly and act swiftly to address them Learn more about TrustOps and why every enterprise needs a trust council in this report: https://bit.ly/4ySBox3

As opposition to AI data centers intensifies, coordinated narrative attacks are adding another layer of pressure for technology leaders building AI infrastructure. Our RAV3N Research Team analyzed five narratives surrounding a leading chipmaker's data center push, including export-control concerns, local opposition, federal policy, and efforts to portray grassroots protests as foreign-backed interference. As pressure builds, data center announcements can quickly be pulled into political or geopolitical debates, or become the target of a coordinated narrative attack. That can intensify opposition, attract greater policy scrutiny, and complicate future development plans. Read the full analysis here: https://bit.ly/4qLyEyQ
