🎰 $2.87B in Gambling Flows: What the Routing Reveals BitOK mapped wallets linked to eight gambling platforms across Ethereum and TRON: Stake, Roobet, Rainbet, Duel.com, Shuffle, Gamdom, 1win and 1xBet. In three months, the selected wallets sent more than $2.87B in USDT. But raw volume tells only part of the story: ➤ At Stake, 924,983 USDC passed through an intermediary and returned to the same node 72 seconds later. ➤ Roobet sent $207.58M USDT to two intermediaries that also routed funds back toward deposit addresses. ➤ Rainbet was linked to Shuffle through an intermediary. Gamdom and Duel sent funds to a collector that later routed USDT to a 1win hot wallet. ➤ Stake and Shuffle sent $3.118M USDT to an address later blacklisted by Tether. All 40 transfers occurred before the blacklist. This is transfer volume, not platform revenue. Some funds moved through operational wallets and intermediaries more than once. 🔐 The key takeaway: raw on-chain volume can be misleading without context. The real signal lies in return loops, shared intermediaries and counterparties several hops away.

It has been a difficult week for cross-chain bridges. First, AFX Bridge lost $24M without any smart contract vulnerability. Then Verus suffered another major exploit, losing $7.5M after an attacker submitted a fraudulent proof that the bridge accepted as valid, even though no corresponding assets had been locked on the source chain. Different attack vectors. Different technical failures. But the same broader lesson: Today, multi-million dollar losses are increasingly caused by weaknesses beyond smart contract code. Bridge security is no longer just about contract audits. Proof verification, validator logic, privileged access, and infrastructure design have become equally critical to protocol resilience. In BitOK’s latest investigation, our team reconstructs the Verus exploit step by step, analyzes how the attacker abused the bridge’s verification mechanism, and traces the movement of stolen funds on-chain. The case highlights an important shift for the industry: the most damaging failures are often found not in the visible application layer, but in the trust assumptions and technical controls behind it. For compliance teams, security researchers, blockchain investigators, and protocol operators, this is another clear reminder that modern attack surfaces extend far beyond smart contract vulnerabilities alone. In the report, we cover: • how the Verus exploit was executed • why the fraudulent proof was accepted • how the stolen assets moved after the attack • what this case reveals about bridge security today Read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/d2UJND7f This is not the last case we are covering. Our next analysis examines another multi-million dollar attack where the root cause also lay far beyond a smart contract bug. Stay tuned for our upcoming publications.
