Betker Oy

Refractory material has a wonderful quality: it doesn't have to end its life as waste. At our Ylivieska plant in Finland, over 25% of our raw materials are recycled, a share we've built up over decades and continue to push higher. This process reduces the carbon footprint of your lining, and it requires real expertise to achieve this without sacrificing any performance. That's the part we're proudest of.

A lining that fails early is never just a lining. It's an unplanned stop, a rescheduled campaign and a very long conversation with production. Betker's job is to make sure that conversation doesn't happen through materials designed for the actual wear in your process and engineers who follow how they perform. Fewer surprises. Longer campaigns.

At Betker, the person who answers your technical question is the person who solved it. There is no need for a ticket number, three-week internal routing, or the phrase "I'll check with our specialists." We are small enough to provide direct answers and experienced enough to ensure they are correct. Refractory expertise, minus the bureaucracy.

Our materials work at temperatures where steel behaves like water. Betker designs monolithic refractory solutions and prefabricated elements for steel ladles, tundishes, electric arc furnaces and blast furnaces. Every recipe is built for a specific process — yours, not a generic one. Hot work. Cool heads.

Betker. Rhymes with better. Better with Betker. We're a Nordic refractory specialist that has spent decades keeping molten steel exactly where it's supposed to be. Now we're doing it closer to you too.
