Dug up this old proof from that Brooks Brothers catalogue I was on press for years back. It was the cover so of course it had to be perfect. The only problem? They woke me up at 4am to let me know our proof was ready to view, and let’s just say judging color accuracy before coffee is… a dangerous game. The Heidelberg press can keep ink and registration steady, but at the end of the day the final calls come down to the human eye. Even now, in a world of pixels, CGI, and AI, that moment feels familiar: the tools get us most of the way, but taste, judgment and those tiny tweaks still make the final call. Happily, the colors came out on point...a smooth, successful run...one of many we oversaw for Brooks Brothers that year. 🕓⚙️🎨👁️ ☕️ #PressCheck #4amProofs #BehindTheScenes #PrintLife #CreativeDetails #PrintProduction #DesignProcess #FromPrintToPixels #CreativeWorkflows #HumanTouch

Most people think of aesthetics as a matter of taste. Preference. Style. For us at Bespoke, aesthetics are something deeper. They’re not decoration... they’re decision making. Every day, we make choices about light, tone, texture, and rhythm. Those choices aren’t just about how something looks, but about how it feels, what it says, and how it lives in the larger world of a brand. And it’s not just in the studio. We all make aesthetic choices constantly... the jacket we put on in the morning, the way we arrange books on a shelf, the restaurant we choose because the vibe feels just right. None of it is trivial. These details tell small stories about how we see the world and the kind of experiences we want to create. I’ve spent two decades on set with some of the world’s top creatives in fashion and beauty, sharpening this skill through constant collaboration. Watching how they approached detail, sometimes obsessing over a fraction of light or a fold in fabric, taught me that aesthetic intelligence is equal parts instinct, training, and care. The nuance is everything. The best creatives know how to bring their own sensibility forward, yet remain true to the codes and boundaries of a brand. That balance, between individuality and identity, is where enduring, iconic imagery is born. At Bespoke, it’s also what we love most about this work. Aesthetic judgment isn’t a one-off talent; it’s a cultivated skill, refined over years, sharpened by collaboration, and tested across mediums. In a world where tools evolve quickly, aesthetic intelligence remains timeless, and it’s one of the most valuable qualities any creative can bring to the table. Where artistry meets precision. Where individuality meets brand identity. Where timeless aesthetics shape tomorrow’s imagery. ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨

I took this photo years ago on press in Milwaukee, there to sign off on a Brooks Brothers catalogue run. What you don’t see in the picture is me waking up at 4am to head to the printer. Presses run 24 hours a day, and you never quite know when they will have your proof pages ready to review. So you wait. And when the call comes, you go. (Trying to judge color at 4:30 am is a different story haha) The press was churning out tens of thousands of copies, an entire season of catalogues rolling off the line. And somehow, amidst that speed and volume, the colors generally hold true. Close enough that a customer flipping through page 37 would see the shirt in the shade it was meant to be. But even then, it still came down to a human eye at the end of the press. Machines could keep the ink balanced, but only a person could look and say, “Yes, that feels right.” It’s a reminder that sticks with me now in the world of pixels, CGI, and AI. Scale and technology are powerful, but the final call, the judgment that makes something iconic still belongs to people. 📚+🖨️+🎨+👁️ #BespokeDigital #IconicImages #OnPress #PrintProduction #ColorAccuracy #BespokeCraft #TimelessImagery #HumanTouch #FromPrintToPixels #DesignToOutlastTrends

With Pixel 10 launch around the corner, it had me thinking back to Pixel 3. We worked on that launch back in 2018 retouching dozens and dozens of product images alongside the Google team and Creative Director Koen Malfait. At the time, it was all about volume and precision. Matching CGI. Improving final renders. Making sure everything looked consistent and clean across a mountain of SKUs. It was one of those fast, technical projects that teaches you a lot. Not just about color and polish but about how to collaborate closely with internal teams, solve weird visual issues quickly, and still make it all feel elevated. Funny enough, that project was purely retouching…but it opened the door for deeper work down the line in animation, CGI, and hybrid product launches. Phones have changed a lot since then. So have we. 📱🎨⚙️⏱️🔁 #BespokeDigital #PostProduction #TechMarketing #CreativeCollaboration #Pixel10 #CGI #BehindTheScenes #VisualStorytelling #Retouching #ProductLaunchReady
