Why emotional intelligence matters most when leadership gets difficult. One thing I've learned about leadership is that emotional intelligence becomes most important when circumstances are the most challenging. Leading a team is not difficult when business is growing, targets are being achieved, and everything is going according to plan. The real test comes when leaders are faced with difficult realities. Budget constraints. Ambitious targets. Changing market conditions. Unexpected business challenges. At times, leaders sit in meetings discussing risks, limitations, and tough decisions. Yet shortly after, we need to stand in front of our teams and provide clarity, direction, and motivation. That doesn't mean pretending challenges don't exist. It means helping people understand the bigger picture without allowing uncertainty to become discouragement. I've come to realize that leadership is not just about managing business performance. Its also about managing energy, emotions, and confidence within a team. People look to leaders not only for answers, but also for reassurance. They want to know: Can we do this? Do we have a plan? Should we be worried? In those moments, emotional intelligence becomes a critical leadership skill. It requires us to listen before we speak. To understand concerns before offering solutions. To acknowledge reality while still creating belief. And perhaps most importantly, to remain calm when others are feeling uncertain. I don't believe leadership is about having all the answers. I believe its about creating enough trust for people to move forward together, even when the path ahead isn't completely clear. Because sometimes the most powerful thing a leader can give a team is not certainty. Its confidence. Confidence that we will adapt. Confidence that we will learn. Confidence that we will find a way forward together. What leadership skill do you think becomes most important during challenging times? #Leadership #EmotionalIntelligence #PeopleLeadership #TeamDevelopment #GrowthMindset #LeadershipJourney #BTheVoice

I develop plasters for a living. But one of our biggest challenges isn’t making better plasters. It’s getting people to use them. Quite a challenge when wound care is your job. 😅 How many of you grew up hearing that wounds heal better when exposed to the air? I did! But that’s a myth. Minor wounds deserve proper care. They need to be cleaned and protected so they can heal undisturbed. I think myths are one part of why people dont wear plasters problem. The other is that some people don’t like wearing plasters. Too visible, uncomfortable, restrictive or impractical. Of course, we need to explain why proper wound protection matters. But we also need to understand why our products don’t always fit into people’s lives. We can spend years developing adhesives, films and new technologies. But even the best plaster won’t do much if it stays in the box. That was one of the challenges we wanted to address with my very first project at Beiersdorf. Together with my team, we developed Second Skin Protection Spray Plaster and Liquid Plaster Concentrate to give people more options to protect minor wounds, especially when traditional plasters aren’t their first choice. And don’t get me wrong. I love a good classic plaster! 😁 But when someone tells me they don’t use plasters, I’m much more interested in understanding why. So don’t worry. I won’t give you a lecture. I’ll probably ask you why. 😅🩹 #WoundCare #HealthcareInnovation #Hansaplast #Beiersdorf #BTheVoice

Sahalar yenilendi, çizgiler çekildi, sıra çocukların yeni hikâyelerinde. ⚽🧡 NIVEA MEN ve Onaranlar Kulübü iş birliğiyle, futbolun birleştirici gücünü okul bahçelerine taşıdık. ✨

Is 6% enough? Recently, Beiersdorf was selected as a finalist for the AFL Diversity Award in recognition of the progress made on our Disability Inclusion roadmap. From 1.3% to 4% in 2 years, the momentum is there. But were still some way from the legal target. And it got me thinking about those quotas. In France, companies with more than 20 employees have been expected to employ 6% of workers with disabilities since 1987. But at the time, our understanding of disability was very different. Neurodiversity was rarely discussed. Mental health conditions were far less recognized. Endometriosis was largely absent from workplace conversations. Today, we know that around 80% of disabilities are invisible. Which raises an interesting question. If our definition of disability has evolved so dramatically over the last 40 years, should our ambitions evolve as well? I'm not talking only about legal quotas. I'm talking about how we think about inclusion. Because perhaps the biggest challenge is not reaching 6%, 8% or 10%. Its making sure 100% of people dont fear stigma, misunderstanding or career consequences if they choose to disclose.
