𝐃𝐞𝐧𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤'𝐬 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐆𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟏𝟐𝐭𝐡. Four more months of controls on the corridor that carries Jutland's road freight, arriving in the same fortnight as the new three euro fee on every non-EU parcel. Neither change is dramatic. Both land in the back office: schedule buffers, cab-ready paperwork, pre-lodgement data, repriced parcel flows, and a dispute lane nobody has staffed because half of Europe is at the beach. A short briefing on what to tighten before the queues do it for you: https://lnkd.in/g3pXyscm

𝐍𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐤𝐬. Over the years I have asked Europeans in their forties one question: what do you wish you had done in your thirties? The answers, from Antwerp to Gothenburg, were uncomfortably consistent. Seven regrets. All avoidable. Six still fixable. The full list, two minutes to read: https://lnkd.in/gHrwCkw9

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿, 𝗵𝗮𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗿, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟯𝗣𝗟 𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲. Here's what it means if you run a logistics or transport business. The blue is what AI can do. The red is what people are actually using it for. That gap is your next five years. The good news for you: physical transportation work is largely safe. Drivers, warehouse ops, last-mile execution. AI is not close to replacing any of that. The uncomfortable part: office and admin work sits among the highest theoretical exposure on the entire chart. Rate desks. Track and trace. Documentation. Shipment coordination. Claims handling. That work is deeply automatable and most of your competitors haven't moved yet. The smartest operators are not building this in-house. They are plugging into teams that already have the AI workflows running, the logistics domain knowledge built in, and outcome-based pricing so you pay for results not headcount. You don't need to automate everything. You need to automate the right things before someone else uses that margin against you. If you want to see what this looks like in practice, I am happy to walk you through it. No pitch. Just a conversation. --- If you are a freight forwarder, 3PL, or haulier and want to see how this works in practice — book a 30-minute call here: https://lnkd.in/gvqTgB9u No slides. No sales deck. Just a straight conversation about where the gap is in your operation and whether we can help close it.

I recently enrolled in a premium gym. Top-tier equipment, great facility, and a dedicated personal trainer. I paid upfront, committed to the process, and felt good about it. It failed in two weeks. The problem wasn’t the gym; it was the model. The trainer had a fixed slot. But as a CEO, my schedule doesn’t always respect "fixed slots." A client call from Europe, an urgent team sync, or a strategic fire-fight—business is fluid. The rigidity of the gym contract meant that if I missed the slot, I lost the value. So, I quit. I’ve since joined a different gym. The equipment is similar, but the model is radically different: I book my trainer based on my availability. If I’m free at 6 AM or 8 PM, the service adapts to me. This small shift in my personal life reinforced a massive realization for how we build Axe Global. In the logistics and transportation industry, volatility is the only constant. Volumes spike, markets shift, and demand fluctuates. Yet, so many tech / back office vendors try to lock logistics companies into rigid, multi-year contracts with fixed "seat" commitments. They try to force the "fixed slot" model on a fluid industry. At Axe Global, we took the "flexible gym" approach. We allow our customers to engage with our solutions on models that fit their reality, not just our revenue forecasts. Many CEOs fear this. The standard playbook says you need rigid contracts to guarantee revenue. They worry that flexibility leads to churn. My experience has been the opposite. Flexibility doesn't encourage customers to leave; it gives them a reason to stay. When you don't trap your customer with a contract, you have to win their business with value every single day. That is how you build a long-lasting relationship. Don't lock them in. Let them choose you. #Leadership #BusinessStrategy #CustomerExperience #Logistics #AxeGlobal #Flexibility

That hand moment says it all, the competition between these two is real and they're not even trying to hide it anymore. Having worked in AI-driven solutions, I can say the India market is where this rivalry will truly play out at scale.

I remember when using "India" was a dirty little secret. 24 years ago, when I started in Chennai, our European clients didn't want anyone to know we existed. To the outside world, their "local team" was doing the work. In reality, it was us—working the graveyard shift in Chennai, fueled by tea and determination. The NVOCC / Freight Forwarder business back then wasn't about "Strategy." It was about Survival. It was mountains of physical paper. It was fax machines screaming at 3:00 AM. It was unreliable dial-up internet and expensive ISD calls. The biggest challenge wasn't the work. We knew the work. The challenge was Trust. We had to work twice as hard to get half the respect. One mistake, and the blame instantly fell on "The Back Office." But we didn't break. We built systems. We learned the trade lanes. Today, the fax machines are gone, replaced by AI and APIs. But the lesson remains: Technology changes, but Reliability is permanent. We aren't a secret anymore. We are the strategic advantage. Experience isn't what you read in a manual. It's what you survive on the night shift. Note : The pic was me in 2005 in Bilbao, Spain when my hair line was better 😉 #Logistics #Chennai #BPO #Entrepreneurship #Resilience #AxeGlobal
