There's no time to improvise when an engine fails over high terrain. The aircraft can't hold its cruising level, and the crew needs to know right now which way to turn and how low they can safely go. Airlines plan for this. Flight Ops Engineers prepare escape routes for terrain-critical segments, per aircraft type and per failure: a depressurisation route to get down quickly, a drift-down route to keep terrain clearance after an engine failure. But on the flight deck, these routes often sit in PDF charts or pages of text. Crews study them before departure, try to keep them in mind, and then have to find the right page exactly when workload is at its highest. In AvioBook’s latest release, “Escape Routes” move directly onto the flight deck. Airlines upload their own escape routes, classified by emergency type and scoped to aircraft, shown automatically and filtered to where you are. The real gain is not the button. It's that the crew has the picture before anything happens, so when it does, the decision is already half made. Want to see exactly how our newest Escape Routes feature works? Visit our booth at Aircraft IT in Bangkok and our team will walk you through it live! Book a session with our team via the link below 👇🏼

Mid-flight changes used to mean one thing for pilots: a lot of manual data entry to get their EFB up to date. When a new flight plan comes in while you’re already in the air, the last thing you want is to be bogged down by repetitive typing and cross-checking. Our OFP Re-release feature changes that. Instead of forcing pilots to manually input every update, AvioBook automates the entire transition. It’s a seamless way to handle in-flight replanning without the heavy lifting. By removing those manual hurdles, we’re not just saving time. We are lowering the cognitive load in the cockpit, allowing crews to stay focused on what really matters: a safe and efficient flight. Want to know more about how to take the manual work out of in-flight replanning? Stop by booth 16-17 at Aircraft IT in Bangkok, and our team will tell you all about it!
