Two new vessels. A long-term vision for Atlantic vehicle logistics. SUARDIAZ Group is investing in two dual-fuel LNG car carriers to strengthen automotive trade flows between North Africa and Europe. The first, RS Atlantico, is scheduled to enter service in Q4 2026, bringing capacity for 5,500 car equivalent units. A second vessel is due by mid-2027. The fleet expansion is part of a broader investment story: more than €360 million invested in international logistics services over six years, including fleet renewal and infrastructure. SUARDIAZ Group is also developing integrated transport options connecting maritime, road and rail. Alongside the new vessels, propeller upgrades and hull treatments across its existing fleet are designed to improve fuel efficiency and support the company’s decarbonisation goals. For automotive manufacturers and supply chain leaders, the investment offers a practical example of aligning vessel capacity, multimodal services and sustainability ambitions. How are these priorities shaping your vehicle logistics strategy? Explore the full story - link in the comments. #AutomotiveLogistics #FinishedVehicleLogistics #SustainableShipping

What does automotive supply chain resilience really look like in South-East Asia? For manufacturers, it is no longer enough to recover quickly from disruption. The bigger opportunity is to identify risk earlier, build credible alternatives and keep production moving when conditions change. In our latest partner feature with DP World, Jeanie Tan, chief commercial officer for logistics in Asia Pacific, explains how the company is combining local market expertise, multimodal networks and digital visibility to strengthen automotive supply chains across the region. From navigating complex cross-border flows and customs requirements to balancing just-in-time inventory, service parts availability and finished vehicle movements, resilience increasingly depends on connecting infrastructure, data and logistics operations end to end. What if AI could do more than flag supply chain disruption - and help explain why it happened, what it will cost and how to respond? Where domain-specific, agentic AI is used to tackle one of automotive’s most persistent challenges: hidden profit leakage across complex supply networks. Following a successful pilot, Yazaki Innovations, Inc has done just that by implementing SupplyWhy.ai’s Jenae platform across demand planning and operational decision-support workflows. The company reports improvements in decision-making, alongside reductions in inventory levels and better manpower planning. The bigger opportunity goes beyond forecasting. By connecting operational events with financial impact, AI can help automotive suppliers identify root causes, respond faster to disruption, recover claims and potentially prevent costs such as premium freight, excess inventory and overtime before they escalate. Could the next step in supply chain digitalisation be not just exchanging data, but exchanging reasoning? #AutomotiveLogistics #SupplyChain #ArtificialIntelligence #AgenticAI #Digitalisation #Automotive

Carrier selection is becoming an even more critical part of automotive logistics risk management. Following the US Supreme Court’s ruling in Montgomery v. Caribe Transport II, freight brokers face increased scrutiny over how they select and manage motor carriers, putting due diligence, safety data and long term carrier relationships firmly in focus. For automotive supply chains, the implications extend well beyond compliance. More rigorous carrier vetting can mean higher technology, insurance and legal costs, while tighter freight capacity and market volatility make reliable carrier partnerships increasingly valuable. Eve International Logistics is responding with a multi platform approach to carrier verification, continuous monitoring and greater investment in real time freight visibility. The wider message for shippers and logistics providers is clear: carrier management is no longer simply about securing capacity and price. Visibility, safety, resilience and demonstrable due diligence are becoming integral to the commercial relationship. Read the full Automotive Logistics article to explore how changing liability expectations could reshape carrier selection and risk management across the US automotive supply chain. #AutomotiveLogistics #SupplyChain #Freight #RiskManagement #Transportation #3PL #AutomotiveSupplyChain

🚗 In automotive logistics, resilience is becoming just as important as efficiency. Geopolitical uncertainty, tariffs, shifting trade patterns and the transition to EVs are making traditional supply chain planning increasingly difficult. In our latest partner content with DP World, David D’Annunzio, Global Vice-President and Automotive Commercial Leader, explains why automotive manufacturers need to look beyond traditional lean, lowest-cost supply chains - and build greater flexibility, visibility and optionality into their operations. From integrated end-to-end logistics and alternative routing to strategic infrastructure and digital capabilities, the focus is on creating connected supply chains that can adapt quickly when disruption hits. #AutomotiveLogistics #SupplyChain #Automotive #Logistics #SupplyChainResilience #DPWorld
