We are pleased to announce the expansion of our BioOptimal™ microfilter lineup. As perfusion and intensified upstream processing continue to advance in monoclonal antibody manufacturing, the need for high-performance cell clarification solutions is increasing. BioOptimal microfilters are designed to support high product recovery, stable long-term operation, and scalability from process development to GMP manufacturing. With this lineup expansion, two new products—BioOptimal UMP and BioOptimal UJP—have been added alongside BioOptimal MF-SL, providing broader options for N and N-1 perfusion applications. The expanded BioOptimal lineup offers: ・High product sieving to support improved yield ・Reduced fouling for stable long-term operation ・Scalable performance from process development to GMP manufacturing BioOptimal UMP is designed for TFF applications in perfusion culture and has maintained >90% product seving during 32 days of persusion culture in TFF mode during internal evaluation under high-density cell culture conditions. BioOptimal UJP is designed for N-1 perfusion applications and supports stable, long-duration filtration even under high-flux conditions. Through this expanded lineup, Asahi Kasei Life Science continues to support more robust, efficient, and scalable perfusion processes.
