Port efficiency isn't just a metric – it's an economic multiplier. That's why the World Bank and S&P Global's Container Port Performance Index (CPPI) has become one of the industry's most closely watched measures of port performance, assessing how efficiently ports turn vessels around. This year, APM Terminals is present in nine of the top 20 ports worldwide, including Salalah (Oman), Tanger Med (Morocco) and Cai Mep (Vietnam). The CPPI measures what matters most to customers: how quickly a vessel is turned around in port. Every hour saved at berth is a schedule kept, a shipment delivered on time, and a cost reduced for importers and exporters. For the countries these ports serve, efficiency drives competitiveness - attracting more business, more trade and more investment. We're proud to contribute to the performance of these ports – alongside the port authorities, workforces and partners who make it happen every day. What began as a bold vision on the Adriatic is now a reality. Croatia's Rijeka Gateway, the most modern and sustainable container terminal in the region, is officially open, welcoming vessels and lifting global trade. Built through partnership between APM Terminals and ENNA Group, this €380 million investment is the largest private logistics infrastructure project in Croatia’s history - and a major step forward for European trade resilience. In just two years, a construction site became a world-class terminal with: – 400 metres of new quay (expanding to 680) – Four 138-metre cranes – Croatia’s first private 5G network for full digital integration – 95% of equipment electrified and powered by renewable energy Rijeka Gateway is more than infrastructure - it's impact. Creating jobs, revitalising Rijeka's waterfront, and opening doors for the next generation, it brings cargo closer to Europe's heartlands through a shorter, smarter, greener route. APM Terminals and ENNA embrace innovation and sustainability, delivering the port experience of the future, today.

Trade through the US Gulf is growing fast - and businesses need reliable, scalable infrastructure to keep supply chains moving. That’s why the Port of Mobile in Alabama is entering its next phase of expansion. A new 1,300-foot container berth is set to transform capacity at Mobile Container Terminal, increasing berth space by 50% and enabling three ultra-large container vessels to dock at once. This $131 million investment, backed by the Alabama Port Authority and APM Terminals, builds on recent milestones like the 50-foot channel deepening and rail upgrades, creating one of the most competitive gateways in North America. Construction begins in 2026, with completion targeted within 24 months. Combined with a 20-year concession extension, this project signals long-term commitment to growth and resilience for businesses across the Southeast. https://lnkd.in/eS_C7ikv

Ports are no longer just points of cargo transfer - they're pivotal enablers of resilient and connected supply chains. At the IAPH World Ports Conference in Kobe, Japan this week, Jonathan R. Goldner, Chief Executive Asia & Middle East, APM Terminals, joined industry leaders to discuss “A view from the bridge – the pivotal future role of ports seen by their customers". The discussion highlighted how terminal operators and port authorities must work in tandem to deliver the ports of tomorrow. Terminal operators drive innovation through automation, digitalisation and operational excellence, while port authorities provide the critical infrastructure, regulation and coordination that enable the whole ecosystem to function. Key takeaways from the panel: - Operational excellence is essential to deliver value in a volatile world. - Resilient, climate-ready ports will shape the next era of trade. - There is significant untapped value to capture, particularly related to decarbonisation, through open-minded and forward-looking collaboration. Thank you to the organisers and panellists for a powerful exchange on the future of ports. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eYbk5h8C #IAPH2025 #APMTerminals #LiftingStandards
