Construction continues to advance on our sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) facility in Spain, developed together with Moeve, with operations expected to commence in early 2027. The project brings together the strengths of both partners: Apical's expertise in sourcing and supplying sustainable waste-based feedstocks, and Moeve's renewable fuels production capabilities, infrastructure and market access. Together, we are helping to build a more resilient SAF value chain and support the aviation sector's decarbonisation journey. As we move closer to commissioning, we remain focused on turning waste into value, scaling the supply of lower-carbon fuels, and creating long-term benefits for customers, communities and the wider energy transition. We look forward to sharing further milestones along the way. #Apical #Moeve #SAF #SustainableAviationFuel #EnergyTransition #CircularEconomy #RenewableFuels #2Gfeedstock

At Apical, we believe meaningful progress is built through collaboration. From working closely with suppliers and smallholders to strengthening partnerships across our value chain, our 2025 Sustainability Report, themed "Growing Stronger, Together," showcases how shared commitments are translating into measurable outcomes for people, communities, and the environment. Key highlights from the year include: - Continued progress against our Apical2030 goals, with measurable outcomes across our key focus areas. - Completed our first comprehensive Scope 3 greenhouse gas assessment, strengthening supplier-level data and emissions transparency. - Advanced traceability, smallholder inclusion, and community resilience programmes. - Through our SMILE programme, the number of RSPO-certified independent smallholders more than doubled to 2,834. - Expanded our Sustainable Living Village programme, reaching 15 villages across Aceh Singkil (Aceh Province) and Kutai Timur (East Kalimantan), Indonesia. These milestones demonstrate how stronger partnerships are helping build a more transparent, inclusive, and resilient palm oil value chain, while preparing for evolving expectations around deforestation, due diligence, and verified sourcing.

Apical demonstrates genuine commitment through a leading traceability system. With nearly 100% traceability to plantations, we gain the visibility needed to assess compliance with our No Deforestation, No Peat and No Exploitation (NDPE) commitments. This traceability enables us to identify risks, engage suppliers and improve practices across our palm oil supply chain. And our traceability data and sustainability reports are open to public, enabling stakeholders to verify our commitment to sustainable palm oil. “The SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) industry will only scale if sustainable and reliable feedstock supply, processing capacity, and mandated demand advance together,” says Lamberto Gaggiotti, Head of Green Energy at Apical. In line with this, Apical Group has joined the ASAFA Asia Sustainable Aviation Fuel Association reinforcing its commitment to supporting the scale-up of sustainable aviation fuel across the Asia-Pacific region. Through ASAFA, Apical aims to contribute practical expertise in building traceable, sustainable, and reliable second-generation feedstock value chains, supporting the development of commercially viable SAF pathways and helping accelerate adoption across the region. “Scaling SAF production responsibly requires integrity at every step. It is about ensuring sustainability, transparency, and trust across the entire supply chain, from feedstock to fuel,” says Lamberto Gaggiotti, Head of Green Energy at Apical, in a recent interview with the Financial Times. Through our joint venture with Moeve, we are accelerating the growth of renewable aviation fuels. Our upcoming SAF facility in Spain is set to produce up to 500,000 tonnes of SAF annually by 2026, strengthening the global shift towards lower-carbon aviation.
