Like many businesses, we often wondered, “Is our marketing really working?” Then we partnered with Amplēo Marketing. Our Amplēo fCMO and marketing team helped us answer that question in a practical, data-driven way. They broke down broad challenges into manageable, measurable steps. Along the way, they pinpointed weaknesses (like unreliable attribution) and refined our strengths, including our brand identity. Our efforts became more efficient, measurable, and effective—and their team made us feel like we were their only client. With their guidance, we eliminated wasteful spending, optimized our marketing mix, and focused our budget on high-impact areas. They also produced a heartfelt, memorable brand story video that continues to deliver strong results. The Amplēo team really became an extension of our team, from strategy to execution. I’d recommend Amplēo to any company ready for an honest, data-backed evaluation of their business and the courage to make meaningful, strategic changes. Not sure where your marketing stands? Bootstrapping feels safe. Loans feel risky. Investors feel exciting. Which path do you take? The truth is, there’s no universal answer. Each path comes with trade-offs: 💸 Bootstrapping protects equity—but can slow momentum. 🏦 Debt accelerates growth and protects ownership—but only if cash flow supports repayment. 📈 Equity brings capital and connections—but costs ownership and control. What founders need is clarity on what kind of growth they want, how quickly they need it, and what risks they’re willing to carry. I worked with a founder who needed to raise $500K to support growth. He didn’t want to lose equity and was fairly aggressive in his risk profile. Knowing the company’s strategy and preferences, we could then define a capital structure that allowed the company to continue to fuel growth without redefining strategy. Capital structure and strategy are inseparable; you can’t have one without the other. Owners need to make sure that capital structure and strategy are in alignment, having weighed all of the possibilities. At Amplēo Finance, we help leaders navigate these decisions, evaluate options, and secure the right capital at the right time. Thinking about your next stage of growth? Let’s talk about which funding path actually fits your business. https://lnkd.in/g4f5rF7J

New hire starts tomorrow. Are you ready or just hoping it all goes smoothly? It’s easy to assume onboarding will take care of itself. A few meetings, a laptop, a Slack intro... done, right? Not quite. 1 in 5 new hires will quit within the first 45 days due to poor onboarding. (Source: Digitate) That’s not a performance issue, it’s a clarity and connection issue. And it’s preventable. That’s where a great onboarding process comes in. It ensures no one falls through the cracks during those critical first weeks. From setting up IT access to scheduling 1:1s, a strong process keeps teams aligned and new employees confident and engaged. Here’s what a good one includes: ✔️ Pre-boarding logistics (contracts, tech, welcome email) ✔️ Day 1 essentials (orientation, first task, team intros) ✔️ Week 1 connection points ✔️ 30/60/90-day milestones tied to role success ✔️ Optional steps for remote or on-site hires Whether you're building from scratch or leveling up what you already have, a checklist is one of the simplest, most effective ways to drive retention, clarity, and engagement. Hard truth: Your HR leader might be too close to the politics to make the call your business actually needs. When internal dynamics cloud judgment, tough (but necessary) decisions around performance, culture, or compliance can get delayed—or avoided entirely. That’s why companies are increasingly turning to embedded HR partners who bring not just experience, but objectivity. ✅ No agenda. ✅ No internal bias. ✅ Just a clear view of what’s working—and what’s not. Unbiased HR leadership doesn’t mean being disconnected. It means being aligned with the business, not the politics. And in moments of complex employee relations, that clarity can be the difference between smart decisions and costly mistakes. 👀 Worth the read: https://lnkd.in/dCFP4Z2Z Wondering if your HR is seeing clearly—or just too close to the fire? Here’s a simple tool that can save you hours in diligence. ⏳ In almost every deal, the first step in financial due diligence is pulling together a request list. 📋 It is not glamorous, but it is the backbone of the process. So I put together a short starter version of my FDD checklist: 👉 If you are a buyer, it will help you know what to start asking for. 👉 If you are a seller, it will help you get organized before the questions even come. Either way, it saves time and puts you a step ahead. You can download the summarized version right here; no strings attached. 🎁 If you want the full expanded version, I’ll drop a link in the comments so you can grab it and be ready for whatever diligence throws your way. 🔍📂 Hopefully this makes your next deal a little smoother... and maybe saves you a few late nights in Excel. 😉💻 #MergersAndAcquisitions #FinancialDueDiligence #CFOInsights #BusinessGrowth #DealMaking #PrivateEquity

If I were starting from scratch, here’s how I’d think about building financial leadership in a growing business. At first, you just need good bookkeeping. Then, you need accurate reporting and basic controls. Only then can you start leveraging deeper analysis and forward-looking strategy. The problem I see in SMB finance is twofold: CEOs wait too long to bring in true financial leadership. Controllers and accountants are expected to act like CFOs without the tools or training. Yet, everybody wants strategic insights—hiring models, cash runway, capital plans. So the finance team feels stretched and undervalued. The CEO fills the gap themselves, making million-dollar calls without the data to back them. And when things break, the blame lands on the finance staff, which is already stretched thin. I believe the solution is to bring in CFO support at the right time: When decisions are bigger than bookkeeping. When growth demands modeling, not just reporting. When you’re raising or deploying capital. That doesn’t always mean a full-time CFO. Fractional leaders can step in, elevate the finance function, and give CEOs the clarity they’ve been missing. Not sure what role to hire? Let’s talk. https://lnkd.in/gbabqp2t
