⚡ Three companies. Three leadership journeys. One shared conversation about the future of energy. On 20 August, BKW, Axpo and Alpiq came together for a cross-company exchange on leadership, bold career choices and transformation in the energy sector. 🎤 Corinna H., Véronique Abrate and Morgane Trieu-Cuot shared the moments that shaped their careers, the decisions that required courage and the lessons they learned while navigating change. The conversation went beyond individual success stories. It explored how leaders deal with uncertainty, remain open to unexpected opportunities and help others move forward. 💡 An important takeaway was the value of visible role models and diverse career paths. By sharing authentic experiences, leaders can inspire others, broaden perspectives on what successful careers can look like and encourage more people to pursue opportunities they may not have considered before. 🤝 What made the event special was the openness across company boundaries. By connecting different experiences and perspectives, we created a space to learn with and from one another and strengthen the networks that will help shape the future of our industry. 🙏 A sincere thank you to BKW AG and Axpo Group for co-creating this event with Alpiq, to our speakers for sharing their experiences so openly, and to everyone who contributed to the conversation. ⚡The future of energy will not be shaped by one company alone. We move it forward together. #InclusionInAction #WomenInEnergy #InclusiveLeadership #YourEnergyMatters

🔋 Large-scale battery storage for Switzerland: Alpiq plans its first Swiss #BESS project With its planned battery energy storage system (BESS) in Niedergösgen, Alpiq is taking another step forward in its flexibility strategy. Located at a key node of the Swiss transmission grid, the 300 MW / 1,200 MWh project is designed to help make the electricity system more flexible, resilient and ready for the continued growth of renewable energy. In our latest interview, Amédée Murisier, Head of Assets and Member of Alpiq’s Executive Board, explains why battery storage is becoming a key enabler of the energy transition. By absorbing surplus renewable electricity and feeding it back into the grid when needed, BESS can strengthen grid stability and security of supply. At the same time, they are a cornerstone of Alpiq’s ambition to become a leading provider of flexibility solutions in Europe. 👉 What role can large-scale battery storage play in Switzerland’s future energy system? And what lessons has Alpiq learned from its projects in Finland and France? 📍Read the full interview on our website: https://lnkd.in/e9U7Yc2R

A day full of reflection, courage & celebration With the Graduation & Certificate Ceremony, the first cohort of our new format, "Development Pathways" (Women Leadership Pathway and Expert Pathway), recently completed a six-month journey 📜👨🎓👩🎓. The day truly reflected what this pilot was designed for: connection, reflection, and honest learning. Across informal exchanges, small group reflections, and shared moments, one thing became clear: development happened, not only in skills, but in mindset, self-awareness, and the courage to lead differently. One message stood out strongly during the ceremony. Our CFO Peter-Wim Gerssen highlighted an often-overlooked truth: “You invested a lot. You put in time and energy. At times, that meant not being available for family or leaving something unfinished at work. That level of commitment truly deserves recognition.” A powerful reminder: #leadership development doesn’t happen on the side, it requires real choices, dedication, and energy. What have we learned from this pilot? ✴️ Leadership development only creates value when it shows up in daily behaviour ✴️ Self-awareness is the most critical starting point for impact ✴️ Psychological safety and trust are real performance enablers The real success of this pilot will now be defined by what happens next: how participants lead, how teams experience that leadership, and how this shapes our culture over time. We will build on these insights. "Development Pathways" will continue, refined, strengthened, and even more anchored in our #Alpiq culture. And last but not least: congratulations to our first cohort 👏💪🎉!
