"We were looking for solutions that would help our operators build quality into the process right at the workstation. We wanted a system that would be fast, require minimal involvement from our engineers, make it easy to create inspection plans and, at the same time, not compromise production throughput. When we saw the solution in action, we realised it addressed many of our needs." - says Slawomir Migala from Apator when justyfying his choice for AiRob Expert. Find out more https://lnkd.in/d5c5VHsy

Rule-based vision checks against a template. AiRob builds an understanding of what it’s looking at. 👁️ Every AiRob system processes its surroundings in real time, in high resolution — identifying objects, shapes, distances, and changes as they happen. This translates into specific capabilities on the line: 🔍 Object and shape recognition — precisely identified components, parts, and assemblies 📏 Distance and positioning — spatial awareness that lets robots interact accurately with what’s in front of them 🔄 Change detection — spotting deviations from the expected state, whether that’s a missing part or a shifted position 📈 Dynamic learning — vision that improves over time, adapting to new conditions and visual variations instead of staying fixed Rule-based systems stay static — the same checks, run the same way, regardless of what’s changed on the line. AiRob’s vision keeps refining its understanding with every cycle. ⚙️ That’s the foundation AiRob Expert and AiRob Operator run on. Want to find out how AI would perform on your line? Let's talk. 👀 #AiRob #ComputerVision #AIVision

High-mix, low-volume production breaks the assumptions classic automation is built on. ⚙️ Traditional robotic cells are designed for one product, one fixed sequence, and manufacturing at scale. Change the product, and you may be dealing with reprogramming, new fixtures, and additional changeover time before the line runs again. In HMLV environments, that’s a daily reality: 🔄 Products change frequently, sometimes within a shift ⏱️ Runs are short — volume rarely justifies a dedicated setup 🔧 Changeovers happen constantly, and each one adds time and costs The result? Many manufacturers either keep processes manual where consistency matters most, or invest in automation that stays idle between product changes. Flexibility isn’t a nice-to-have here — it’s the parameter that decides whether automation pays off at all. 📈 AI-driven, modular robotics is built to address this challenge. Systems like #AiRob adapt to new tasks and layouts without long reconfiguration, so automation keeps up with how production actually runs. Curious how this works in practice? Let’s talk. 👀 #HMLV #Robotics #SmartManufacturing #E2MS

Quality control isn’t a competition between AI and the operator. It’s a question of who’s better at what. 🤖 👤 People are good at catching exceptions. Judgment calls, ambiguous cases, situations that don’t fit a pattern — that’s where human experience still outperforms any model. 🤖 AI is good at repeatability. Same criteria, same logic, every unit, every shift — no fatigue, no drift in attention over an 8-hour run. AI-powered inspection changes what the operator spends their time on, not whether they’re there. Instead of scanning hundreds of near-identical units for the same recurring defects, operators shift toward the decisions that actually need a person: • unusual cases • root-cause investigation • process adjustments That’s the role #AiRob Expert plays — not replacing the QA team, but taking the monotonous, repeatable part off their plate so the team can focus where human judgment adds the most value. ✔️ Less fatigue-driven variation. More decisions made by people who have time to actually think about them. Curious how this works on your line? Reach out and let’s schedule a demo. 👀 #QualityControl #AI #ElectronicsManufacturing

Final inspection is not the end of the process. Combined with inspection data from various stages of production, it’s one of the richest sources of information about what’s happening upstream in production. ⚙️ Every detected defect carries data: • error type (missing component, polarity, soldering issue) • location (workstation, line, shift) • frequency of occurrence • time trends — whether the issue is growing or disappearing These are not just inspection images. They are operational signals about the health of the process. Used properly, this information helps manufacturers: • identify recurring issues at specific stations • detect deviations before complaints appear • correct problems upstream — in assembly, feeders, or wave soldering In other words, final inspection can become a feedback loop for the entire production system. But too often it doesn’t. Many factories simply don’t aggregate or analyze this data. Inspection works “here and now,” and the same errors quietly return. A systemic approach changes that — centralized data collection, standardized defect classification, and cross-line analysis move inspection from reaction to prediction. This is where AI helps. Not just by detecting defects, but by generating consistent, scalable data for process improvement. 👉 If your final inspection doesn’t generate data, you’re losing the most valuable part of the quality process. A question worth asking: Do you use final inspection data to improve the process or only to stop defects? #FinalInspection #Process #Ai

Most quality upgrades come with a catch: redesign the line first, then improve it. AiRob Expert skips that step. ⚡ The system mounts above the existing workstation — no reconfiguring the line, no new fixtures, no rebuilding a process that already works. ✔️ Camera installs directly above the station, watching the process in real time ✔️ No major technical intervention — the workstation stays as it is ✔️ Built around the existing process, not a redesigned one ✔️ Pilot up and running in days, not months ✔️ Same setup scales from one station to a full line without re-engineering each time The difference #AiRob makes: “install AI,” rather than “rebuild the line to fit AI.” 🎯 For manufacturers testing whether AI-based inspection is worth it, that difference is often what makes the pilot possible in the first place. Wondering how it would fit your line? Let’s talk. 👀 #QualityControl #AI #SmartManufacturing
