March Networks and VIVOTEK will, as part of Delta’s newly established Building Automation Business Group, operate together within the security solutions division. The goal is to bring all components of security solutions into a single integrated platform, enabling end users to access and monitor all information in one place. In our latest interview, Peter Strom (CEO of March Networks & VIVOTEK) shares how Delta Electronics is integrating fragmented operations. 🔴 The Challenge: Building operators traditionally navigate a maze of disconnected tools, managing security, access control, and energy management separately, while relying on reactive, post-incident video footage. 🛡️ The Solution: By uniting VIVOTEK's edge AI hardware with March Networks’ enterprise VMS under Delta’s Building Automation Business Group, they are delivering a single, unified platform. Edge AI now turns sight into insight—allowing video metadata to automatically trigger real-time building responses (like adjusting HVAC based on occupancy or locking down access) and delivering cloud business intelligence directly to operations. Cost efficiency is higher than ever among the priorities of today’s security and facility managers. At the same time, how they must support their organization is in a constant state of flux. Access is one area where cost savings can be made: streamlining access management is often key to achieving more without breaking the budget. Getting the right solution in place represents a long-term investment in the health of a business’ cost base Thomas Schulz from ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions lists 7 ways in which switching to digital access reduces costs and boosts security. 1. Eliminating hidden costs in a dynamic organization 2. Relieving budget pressures with lower installation costs 3. Reducing admin workload to streamline operations 4. Retiring physical keys to eliminate rekeying costs (and risks) 5. Deterring security threats to prevent costly incidents 6. Staying flexible to minimize reinvestment when the organization evolves 7. Future-proofing security even when budgets are limited Read the full article at https://lnkd.in/eTaTY3B4

Securing a massive, multi-purpose facility requires more than a one-size-fits-all approach. In Sofia, Bulgaria, the newly developed Smart Tower, housing over 1,150 occupants across 17 residential floors, 7 commercial levels, and a massive 4-level underground car park, presented exactly this challenge. In our latest project spotlight, we look at how systems integrator SECTRON tackled this complex environment using a tailored, multi-technology fire detection solution from Hochiki Europe. Led by project managers Spas Stankov and Spas Stoyanov, the Sectron team leveraged open-protocol architecture to deploy specific technologies exactly where they were needed most: 🔹 The Main Areas: Over 2,800 ESP intelligent multi-sensors were deployed. Crucially, they were selected in specific color variants to blend flawlessly with the tower’s modern architectural aesthetics. 🔹 The Residential Floors: Hochiki’s conventional CDX range was utilized for apartments, seamlessly linked back to the main addressable control panel via I/O modules for centralized monitoring. 🔹 The Underground Parking: Standard smoke detectors fail in high-airflow, fume-heavy environments. To solve this, the team deployed Linear Heat Detection Cable, ensuring highly localized and reliable threat detection. The result? A fully compliant, aesthetically pleasing, and highly reliable system designed to drastically reduce false alarms while ensuring long-term protection for residents and businesses alike. As Spas Stoyanov of Sectron noted, a 30-year partnership with Hochiki comes down to one thing: advanced sensing technology that simply works. 📖 Read the full case study to see how open-protocol architecture is solving integration challenges in modern mega-developments: https://lnkd.in/dfb45qaq

As residential living continues its transformation, the demand for seamless, secure, and user-friendly access solutions is becoming a defining factor in modern property management. A recent implementation by Salto across AFI Home Skyline locations in Poland and Romania demonstrates how digital access technology can enhance both operational efficiency and the resident experience. By combining smart access control, centralized management, and real-time visibility, the solution enables property operators to maintain high service standards while giving residents frictionless access to shared amenities such as gyms, co-working areas, and community spaces. The deployment, delivered and maintained by NETROS, a specialized SALTO partner in Poland, provides each location with operational autonomy while maintaining a consistent technology standard across the portfolio. A robust network of nodes, gateways, dedicated servers, and the SALTO Space platform ensures continuous communication, reliable performance, and flexibility for future expansion. For residents, the benefits are tangible: secure and convenient access to common areas through a single smart credential, available around the clock. For operators, centralized management and real-time control simplify administration and support efficient property operations. The project illustrates how modern access management is evolving beyond security, becoming a key enabler of enhanced resident experiences and smarter residential environments.
