❌ Common mistake: your event date isn't your deadline. I organised many events with Alain Heurtin_PMP®, Cyril Jhurry, Naïm Zriouel, Régis Calcar, Sofien Manaa, and this is the mistake I see most often. If you're exhibiting early next year, the important date is much earlier: when the experience needs to be briefed. Before opening day, there's concept, UX, development, content, hardware, testing, logistics, installation, and all the small surprises nobody puts into the first timeline. We've delivered full expo installations in under a month from brief. Yes, it can also be done. 💪 But I wouldn't recommend working that way. 😅 Because when an event project starts late, you just end up squeezing everything else: the ideas, the build, the testing, the fixes. All into less and less time. 👉 That's the part people sometimes underestimate: you're not buying yourself more time by waiting. You're giving yourself fewer options. If you're planning an event for next year, I'm curious: how early do you normally start thinking about the actual experience? 🤔 Share your comments. 🤗

🚩 Red flag in a concept meeting: “We want something with AI.” During the last big event we attended, ČERNÁ.AI, one attendee presented their project with this injonction BUT - That’s usually not a brief. - Neither is “we should do VR” or “we need an interactive screen.” ❌ They’re solutions looking for a problem. ✅ Before we talk about technology for an event, I’d rather know what the visitor is supposed to do. ⁉️ Do you need them to stop? Understand a complicated product? Give you their details? Configure something? Create something they’ll share? Start a conversation with sales? Those answers can lead to completely different experiences. Sometimes the right answer is VR. Sometimes it’s AI. Sometimes it’s a camera and a screen. Sometimes the physical product should remain the hero and the technology should almost disappear. 1️⃣ Start with what you want people to do, feel, or understand. 2️⃣ Then decide what technology earns its place. 👉 The technology shouldn’t be the idea. It should be what makes the idea possible. What’s the first question you ask when starting a new event concept? #event #technology #solutions

One of my favorite moments at an event is when someone finishes an experience... and immediately reaches for their phone. 📱 Nobody asked them to. They just want to capture what happened. We saw a lot of that at Milan Design Week with Škoda Auto. Visitors made physical Play-Doh sculptures, then watched their creations come alive digitally on an 8-meter LED display. And suddenly it wasn't ŠKODA's content on the screen. It was theirs. People photographed it, filmed it, and shared it. Around 60,000 visitors came through the experience, and user-generated event content drove social engagement 3× higher. Škoda’s MDW experience went on to win a Fuorisalone Award. And I'm so proud of this. 💚 But I think the person pulling their phone out without being asked tells you something equally useful. 👉 People share experiences they feel part of. What’s one event experience you still remember because you got to be part of it?

I'll say the thing most L&D teams are thinking but won't put in a report: Most corporate training doesn't stick. People complete it. They pass the assessment. Everyone moves on. And a week later, in the actual moment it was meant to prepare them for, it's gone. It's not because people don't care. It's because they were taught the content. They never got to practice the moment. 🎯 That gap is exactly why we built our virtual training product. Instead of adding another course people sit through and forget, it lets employees rehearse the real situation: speaking, deciding, reacting, until it actually holds. So when the moment comes, it's not the first time. We made a short video that shows what that looks like. Worth 60 seconds if training that doesn't stick is a problem you recognize. ❌ Most defense training programs were built once. They cover known scenarios. Established sequences. Predictable outcomes. But threats change. Operational contexts shift. Technology advances. The training often doesn't. And when that gap grows long enough, personnel are prepared for a world that no longer exists. 📈 Here's what the numbers say about organizations that have already made the shift: → 76% reduction in operational downtime with AI and XR-powered training → 60% faster technician training using XR-guided instruction → 74% of defense leaders report AI and XR improve both recruitment and retention The organizations getting ahead of this are: ✓ Building simulation environments that update fast ✓ Generating performance data leadership can actually use ✓ Putting personnel in conditions that mirror the reality they'll face — not the one easiest to model years ago We documented how this works in practice — including real deployed projects in military training — in a case study we're sharing for free. If you're involved in training strategy or procurement, this is worth reading before your next planning cycle. 👇 Free download here. https://lnkd.in/d67KeZDa
