VPP by the Numbers, installment three. 35+ De Novos built and counting. A De Novo is a practice built from the ground up. No acquisition, no existing blueprint. For the doctors who want to build something that's truly theirs, it's one of the most exciting paths in veterinary medicine. We've walked that path 35 times, and we know how to do it right. If building from scratch sounds like your kind of challenge, visit our website to learn more. Numbers don't tell the whole story. But this one? Worth sharing. #UnleashYourPotential #VPP #VeterinaryPracticePartners

VPP has been awarded America's Greatest Workplaces by Newsweek for 2026. 🎉 The recognition spans three categories: America's Greatest Workplaces in Health Care, America's Greatest Workplaces for Women, and America's Greatest Workplaces by State in California, Florida, and Pennsylvania. "An award like this reflects what happens in our hospitals every day. It's doctors practicing medicine they believe in and staff believing in their practice," said Rich Pacheco, COO of VPP. “This award is a recognition of all their care and service to our patients, clients and each other.“ Thank you to our teams for the care you bring every day. Veterinary school teaches you how to be an exceptional clinician. It doesn't teach you marketing, data analytics, or how to run a business while raising a family. Dr. Haley Webster, who partnered with VPP in 2020, found a way to stop doing it all alone. "VPP has allowed me the freedom in my schedule to be able to be a good mom, and be present for those moments in life that I'm not going to be able to replicate." For practice owners who are also parents, the weight of running everything yourself doesn't just affect the business. It affects the people waiting for you at home. The right partnership can ease that load. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/g9Bg-88c #UnleashYourPotential #VPP #VeterinaryPracticePartners

Dr. John Green spent years as a chief of staff in veterinary medicine. He was still practicing, still contributing, but a big portion of his time went toward driving around advising other clinics. It wasn't satisfying. He wanted to build something of his own. He did his homework on partnership models before choosing VPP. What he was looking for was specific: the ability to build his own culture, run things his own way, and put his name on the building. When he described that vision to VPP, the answer was simple: we're on board. Then, in August, a car hit him while he was out training on his bike. He shouldn't have survived. He did. And it made the decision easy. There was no more reason to wait. He signed shortly after, broke ground by December, and opened Green Family Veterinary Practice in Warrenville, IL the following July. What he built is worth paying attention to. The dream practice, in his words, starts with hiring around core values so that showing up to work is genuinely enjoyable for the whole team. That culture becomes the foundation for everything else: how patients move through the hospital, how cats and dogs are routed into separate dedicated spaces, how the team performs when the day gets hectic. He's already seen it. When it gets busy, his team doesn't break down. They thrive. He chose this path knowing it was bigger than just him. Part of the vision was always creating a road for the next generation of partners, so that veterinary medicine stays in the hands of veterinary professionals. Dr. Nonie Reger didn't start as an owner. She started as an associate at Short Pump Animal Hospital in Richmond, VA, and grew from there. When the opportunity came to buy in as a co-owner alongside the doctors already in the partnership, she had everything working in her favor: an existing client base, an experienced team, and a hospital with years of momentum behind it. That's what VPP's buy-in pathway offers: a running start, not a blank page. What she gained alongside ownership was a community she hadn't anticipated: access to veterinarians across the country, and to business, marketing, and strategy expertise that no vet program teaches. "VPP has helped me with leadership development. I was not a leader at all before given this opportunity, and I think it's something that you can bring out of a person." In her interview, she also spoke about VPP Peer Groups: gatherings of practice owners and medical directors from across the country who share ideas, troubleshoot challenges, and push each other forward. "It's just great to be in a community that's all trying so hard to just be creating wonderful quality medicine for their patients." For veterinarians who want ownership without starting from zero, Dr. Reger's path is worth understanding.
