In celebration of Venable's 125th birthday, we spoke with Ed Boyle and Stacie Tobin, co-chairs of Venable's Litigation Division, on the vital role curiosity plays in building client trust and winning legal strategies.

When your clients are full of energy and new ideas, you have to be at your most innovative to meet evolving needs. Fueled by their bold vision, we’ve played a part in some of the most groundbreaking developments of the past 125 years.

You may have heard that Venable is celebrating its 125th birthday this year. But despite our age, we’ve never been quicker on our feet. From humble beginnings, we have grown into a legal powerhouse with more than 900 legal professionals representing clients around the globe in some of the most cutting-edge and era-defining matters.

This year, we’re celebrating our 125th birthday—as in lighting candles, inflating balloons, wearing tiny paper hats, eating way too much cake, and embracing the curiosity, creativity, adaptability, and gratitude that have allowed us to endure and meet our clients’ needs, no matter the decade. Follow along as we celebrate.

In this Q&A, Venable Denver partner Emily Keimig celebrates the office’s first birthday, and the firm’s 125th, by reflecting on the past year and sharing her vision for Venable in Denver going forward.
