𝗨𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀. But it is not where the work ends. Before usage becomes revenue, someone has to understand what it means commercially. - Is it billable? - Is it covered by a commitment? - Is it an overage? - Is it part of a renewal conversation? - Is it an expansion signal? - Should it affect billing, revenue recognition, or forecasting? 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺. 𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲. At Simetrik, Felipe Pardo and his team were managing complex consumption-based billing across customers, contracts, and pricing rules. They needed more than usage visibility. They needed a way to connect consumption to billing, renewals, and customer conversations before those issues reached month-end. With Vayu, they can see customer consumption as it happens and connect it to the workflows that turn usage into revenue. That is what 𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲. 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗶𝘁. looks like in practice. When usage is metered, connected, and understood in real time, finance teams can capture revenue more accurately, spot expansion opportunities earlier, and act while revenue is still forming. Thank you, Felipe and the Simetrik team, for sharing your story. Watch the video below.

𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗩𝗮𝘆𝘂. We’re launching our new narrative and website, but for me, this is really about something bigger: the shift we’ve been seeing with finance and revenue teams for years. 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗯𝘆 𝗳𝗶𝘅𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲. For a long time, teams could look at a contract, a billing schedule, and a CRM record and mostly understand what the business was owed. That world is changing. Today, revenue is shaped by usage, credits, overages, pricing tiers, contract-specific terms, renewals, discounts, entitlements, billing exceptions, and customer behavior that changes throughout the month. The problem is that most revenue systems were built for revenue that moved on a fixed schedule. 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺. That is why we built Vayu. Our new narrative is built around a simple idea: 𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲. 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗶𝘁. Vayu is the infrastructure that helps you build every pricing logic where AI agents meter usage, run billing, recognize revenue, and drive collections, allowing you to capture more revenue from any model you build. Thank you to our customers, investors, and partners who have helped shape our thinking along the way, and to the entire Vayu team that has worked so hard to build the machine and capabilities behind this moment. Proud of the Vayu team for bringing this story to life. 🚀 Explore the new Vayu: www.withvayu.com

𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴? 𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁. More SaaS and AI native companies are exploring consumption based, usage based, or hybrid pricing models. And the logic makes sense. Pricing should better reflect how customers consume value. But moving to consumption based pricing is not just a pricing change. It requires two things to work together: 🧠 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆 What should you meter? What should be included? Where do commitments, tiers, caps, credits, and overages fit? ⚙️ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 Can usage be measured reliably? Can customers see it before the invoice arrives? Can billing, forecasting, and reporting keep up? Some companies are just starting to evaluate the shift. Others are already operating usage based or hybrid models and discovering the complexity in real time. Either way, the same two questions show up fast: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗯𝗲? 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝘂𝗻 𝗶𝘁? That’s the focus of our live webinar with WillingnessToPay.com on May 20. We’ve spent the past few months speaking with CFOs and finance leaders across high-growth companies. 𝗪𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻’𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴. Not because companies aren’t evolving, but because their systems aren’t keeping up. Today, we’re sharing the 𝗖𝗙𝗢 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, built together with Ben Murray, The SaaS CFO and PwC alongside Christina White, and Chris Butler. It’s based on insights from ~100 finance leaders navigating this shift in real time. 𝗡𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. 𝗡𝗼 𝗵𝘆𝗽𝗲. Just a clear view into what’s actually breaking, and what needs to change for finance to operate in a world of modern pricing. If you're dealing with usage-based models, AI-driven products, or trying to get control over your revenue lifecycle, this will likely resonate. 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺. -Can your current billing setup handle prepaid, usage, and seat pricing at once? -How quickly can you spin up a new revenue model today? -How many engineering hours went into patching billing in the last month? 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂? 🔗 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁: https://lnkd.in/d64xs3DX

The pace of change in SaaS, driven by AI-led product shifts, evolving packaging strategies, and increasing pressure to tie pricing more closely to customer value, is forcing finance teams to rapidly rethink pricing and monetization. Moves toward usage-based and hybrid models are not simple pricing exercises. They are cascading into billing complexity, revenue recognition challenges, and greater operational strain across the finance stack. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗻𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀, including what is holding up, what is breaking, and how teams are actually working through it. That's why Vayu + RightRev are bringing together a small group of finance and accounting leaders for a private dinner in NYC. It is an opportunity for candid, peer-driven conversation on what is changing and how teams are adapting. If you would like to join us, send a DM.
