We are proud to introduce Jesper Vos, Service Engineer at Vard Electro and Louisa Stuedahl, Marketing Coordinator at Vard Group, as VARD's official representatives for one of the world's toughest endurance races, Norseman Extreme Triathlon 2027. Over the next 12 months, they will prepare for an extraordinary challenge: 🏊♀️ 3.8 km swim in the cold waters of the Hardangerfjord before sunrise, 🚴 180 km bike ride through rugged terrain and steep climbs, 🏃♀️➡️ 42.2 km marathon finishing at the summit of Gaustatoppen , 1,883 metres above sea level. “Norseman is one of the world's toughest endurance races, but it is also a powerful demonstration of what can be achieved through commitment, preparation and teamwork. Those qualities are deeply rooted in VARD, where we challenge ourselves every day to deliver advanced vessels through collaboration, precision and dedication. VARD x Norseman: The road to Norseman 2027 starts now. 🚀 Extraordinary results are never accidental. They are built through commitment, preparation and people working together towards a common goal. We are proud to announce our cooperation with Norseman Xtreme Triathlon because the race embodies the same principles that shape our culture and performance. 🏊 Widely recognized as one of the world's toughest endurance races, Norseman challenges athletes to complete a 3.8 km swim in the cold waters of the Hardangerfjord before sunrise, a 180 km bike ride through rugged terrain and steep climbs, and a 42.2 km marathon finishing at the summit of Gaustatoppen, 1,883 metres above sea level. Every day at VARD, we push the boundaries of what is possible, demonstrating what can be achieved through commitment, preparation, passion and teamwork. We are proud to announce that VARD has secured a new contract with Norwegian fishing company Rosund Drift AS for the design and construction of a state-of-the-art stern trawler. The vessel is based on VARD’s proven VARD 8 02 design, developed to meet the evolving needs of modern, responsible fisheries. Combining advanced technology with operational efficiency, the new trawler is optimised for both semi-pelagic and bottom-trawling operations, ensuring gentle fish handling, high product quality, and reduced environmental impact. 🌊 “We are delighted to welcome Rosund Drift AS as a customer to VARD. The VARD 8 02 design has proven highly successful in the market, and this project will further enhance its capabilities to meet future industry demands.
