"You relied too much on AI and forgot how to live." 📉 Sometimes I genuinely feel like Im getting dumber the more I rely on AI. Dont get me wrong: I love the speed and convenience of AI in user research just as much as anyone else. But if we outsource all the thinking, we lose the craft. That’s why its so important to go over the basics from time to time. Next week, Paula Süßmeir from Userbrain and I are hosting a live webinar: ✨ Back to User Testing Basics in the Age of AI ✨ 🗓️ Wednesday, October 21st, 2026 ⏰ 5:00 PM (CEST) We’ll talk about how you can use all those convenient AI features WITHOUT forgetting how to actually do the work (and live). 😉 Registration link in the comments! 👇 (AI Disclaimer: The music was generated with Google Lyria 3.)

AI does the work. You make the call. More tests. More summaries. More analysis. More information. AI makes it easier to produce all of it. The challenge is knowing what actually matters for your product. What are you really trying to learn? Which evidence can you trust? What can you meaningfully compare? And what is strong enough to act on? Join Marc Busch and Paula Süßmeir for Back to Basics in the Age of AI, a practical live webinar on the user testing fundamentals that help you cut through the noise and make better product decisions. Users said …"the checkout was easy". Then they got stuck on it… 🚧 That’s not a rare edge case. Research from MeasuringU found that about a third of users who fail a task still rate it as fairly easy. Both answers are true, and both are useful. The rating tells you how the checkout felt. Watching real people use it tells you whether it actually works. The problem starts when you use one to answer the other’s question. And with AI making tests faster than ever, it’s easy to end up with a pile of results and grab whichever one looks most convincing. You don’t need a research background to avoid that. Just a bit of clarity before you start: - what you want to find out, - what would really show it, and - what you’re comparing it against. That’s what makes every test more useful, including everything AI pulls out of it. At Userbrain, AI helps you write your tasks and summarizes what real users did. I love that. It means you spend your time on what matters: making the right call. My colleague Paula Süßmeir and researcher Marc Busch are digging into exactly this on Oct 21. 🔗 Link in the comments Let AI do the heavy lifting. Let real users show you what happens. Keep the thinking.

AI can make a lot of the work around user testing faster and easier. But faster doesn’t automatically mean clearer. You still need to know what you’re trying to learn, what evidence actually matters, and what the results mean for the product decision in front of you. Join Marc Busch and Paula Süßmeir for a practical live webinar on the user testing fundamentals that help you stay focused, make sense of real user evidence, and know what to do next.

Connecting real user feedback to your AI Tools - without having to switch tools, copy paste or crafting the perfect prompt. As it turns out, I'm still pretty bad at prompting AI. Which is exactly why I get excited about MCPs that don't require perfect prompts to be useful. That's exactly why I'm even more excited about the Userbrain MCP. In my (biased 🙃) opinion, this is the MCP every product team, designer and researcher actually needs. Read the full article below. And tell me: who else struggles with AI prompting sometimes? #MCP #ProductManagement #UXResearch #UserTesting

What if the AI tools you use every day had access to your real user-test data? Join Stefan Rössler and Paula Süßmeir for a live demo of Userbrain MCP. You’ll see how to: • Ask questions about your user tests in plain language • Bring real user evidence into the work already happening in your AI tools • Spend less time switching tools and copy-pasting context • Get more value from the tests you already run Plus, we’ll reveal a powerful new way to work with your existing tests.
