Our most asked question at DPW Amsterdam was: “What AI features does Unite have?” And the most telling fact? Fewer than 1 in 10 organisations are truly AI-ready across process, technology, talent and data (HFS Research, based on interviews with 150 procurement leaders). The interest in AI features is higher than ever. But the readiness for them is still uncertain. Our conversations rarely focused on features. They went deeper, to what has to be in place first: 🗂️ Clean data and governed catalogues. 🤝 Vetted, compliant suppliers and clear governance, built in early. 🔐 European data sovereignty. Where data is kept and who can reach it came up in nearly every conversation. The gap between interest and readiness is where AI value gets decided. On clean data, vetted suppliers and governed catalogues, it speeds up good decisions. On fragmented catalogues and outdated agreements, it speeds up the mess. That is what #RECODE meant to us this year: strengthen your foundation, so AI has something worth amplifying. 65% of aerospace AI projects never leave proof-of-concept. ✈ Breadth kills value in procurement AI. The leaders focus on a few high-ROI use cases and build the adoption to make them stick. 👀 See what's changing

Airlines want 43,420 new aircraft. Can the supply chain build them? Demand is structural. The supplier base is fragile. For procurement, availability has overtaken price as the binding constraint. 📖 Read the full perspective

When everyone buys everything, nobody controls anything. Maverick buying doesn't show up cleanly in reports. It doesn't trigger alerts. It quietly inflates process costs, creates compliance gaps, and weakens the supplier leverage your team has worked to build. The fix isn't more rules. It's removing the friction that makes workarounds feel necessary. → Get the free report
