Most companies default to buying Claude directly, paying list price with a credit card. Here are 3 better ways to buy the product. These three options offer better billing terms, faster procurement, and access to AWS funding. ➡️ Claude Enterprise via AWS Marketplace: The full Claude app (Chat, Code, Cowork, and Admin Console), starting at about $20 per user per month, plus usage. Built for knowledge workers in legal, finance, HR, and other business teams. ➡️ Claude on Amazon Bedrock: AWS-managed API access, priced per token. It is the only option that offers full EU data residency across seven AWS Regions. ➡️ Claude Platform on AWS: Anthropic's developer platform, billed through your AWS account. It gives you same-day access to new features like Web Search and the Files API. As a bonus, all these three options count toward your AWS PPA commitment because they simply appear on your regular AWS bill. P.S. This is the last post in my Anthropic on AWS series. If you missed the first two, you can find them on my profile.

Every bank has at least one system nobody wants to touch. For one of our Czech banking clients, it was a 15+ year old Pascal application. No documentation. The original developer left a decade ago. It still runs and still makes money. The usual approach is weeks of analysis before a rewrite even starts. We replaced that whole process with AI agents running on AWS AgentCore. Those agents work as a team: ➡️ Analysis agents map the application and plan the migration from Pascal to Python and React. ➡️ A testing agent reconstructs the system's behavior and generates test cases. ➡️ Coding agents rebuild the application, review each other's work, and iterate until it matches. We're still in the POC phase, but the first module has already been migrated with documentation and tests, with the potential to save thousands of engineering hours. Have you found an efficient way to modernize legacy systems? Happy to discuss in comments! P.S. Photo from a recent GenAI event hosted by Trustsoft and AWS.

Your developers are already using Claude Code. Currently, all the Anthropic models run in the USA. Claude Code is one of the most popular coding assistants, used by more than 235,000 developers, including Stripe’s engineering team. It’s also where security questions begin. Every prompt, code snippet, and context leaves your environment, raising questions about data exposure, compliance, and IP protection. So, how to keep data in the EU? - Run the same Claude Code through Amazon Bedrock instead, and Claude runs inside your AWS environment. ➡️ Anthropic never sees your data. ➡️ You keep IAM access controls. ➡️ EU customers get regional data residency (e.g., in Frankfurt). ➡️ Usage counts toward your existing AWS Private Pricing Program (PPA) commitment. On Amazon Bedrock, engineering gets the AI they want. Security gets the controls they need. P.S. I’m sharing a three-part series on what I’ve learned about Anthropic on AWS. Feel free to reach out with questions or leave a comment.

Anthropic will not pick up the phone for a $40 000 deal. We learned this recently while helping our Prague-based client buy Anthropic (200+ Claude Enterprise licenses) through AWS Marketplace. Anthropic’s sales team usually does not get involved until annual spend reaches at least $50,000. Below that, most customers are limited to list pricing and paying by card. Buying it through AWS Marketplace brings significant benefits: ➡️ Anthropic spend becomes part of your existing AWS invoice. ➡️ It counts 100% toward your AWS EDP (Enterprise Discount Program). ➡️ New workloads may qualify for AWS credits worth significant percentage of first year spend (capped at $200,000). ➡️ Every AWS Marketplace deal qualifies for an additional AWS incentives. ➡️ Enterprise agreement instead of standard click-through terms. Many companies do not realize the benefits of buying Claude and other tools through AWS Marketplace, or that they can complete the purchase through the AWS account they already use. If you find this interesting, feel free to check out the full case study on how we saved our client 10% on a Claude Enterprise deal: https://lnkd.in/eQPMzugx

Cloud cost savings above 20%? Back on the baseline in 90 days (almost certainly). I've seen this exact pattern in quite a few FinOps projects. The first cleanup delivers. Oversized instances, forgotten dev environments, or unattached storage. The waste is real and there is usually a quick fix to it. Finance gets a good-looking slide. Engineering gets credited in the all-hands. But here's what I see happen next, almost every time: ➡️ New deployments go out without cost reviews ➡️ The person who drove the cleanup moves to another project or leaves ➡️ Reserved instances expire without anyone noticing ➡️ The next spike gets discovered at month-end, not at deployment The savings didn't evaporate because the cloud got expensive. They evaporated because nobody owned them after day one. FinOps is built on a premise that most organizations resist: cloud cost is an ongoing operational responsibility (not a one-time cleanup task). The question I now ask before any engagement starts: "Who owns this number in 6 months and with what authority to act on it?" Organizations that get this right build savings over time. Seen this pattern too? Let me know in a comment, or save this post if a FinOps project is on your horizon. 💭

AWS quietly introduced one of the most useful billing changes in years.. AWS customers can access flat, no-commitment discounts through certified partners. Until now, that meant switching your AWS billing to a partner, which created friction. You typically had to change your root email, which effectively transferred account ownership. Because of that, many companies didn't make the switch. The new AWS Billing Transfer onboarding solves that: ➡️ No root access handover ➡️ No change to who controls your AWS Organization, IAM, or infrastructure ➡️ Your AWS environment continues running unchanged All it takes is accepting a single AWS invitation online. If you're still paying AWS list prices by card, you may now be able to access a flat discount across your AWS spend through an AWS Partner.
