Only 8% of carriers expect connectivity to drive premium growth. Connectivity isn’t just a cost saver. It’s how carriers win business. Brokers decide where submissions go, and they send them to the carriers that are easiest to work with. This year's Surety Outlook 2026, commissioned by Tinubu, shows where that connection is still breaking down: 77% of carriers cite lack of integration with broker and agent systems as an operational bottleneck. This Thursday, October 19 at 10am ET, we'll discuss this topic and more with Ahmad Khan of Everest Group and Prashant Dinkar Hinge of MSIG USA, moderated by Greg Davenport. Join us live, and you'll get the full report before it's released. https://lnkd.in/eciz2P_j

Surety doesn't have a technology adoption problem. It has a connectivity problem. The numbers in this year's soon-to-be-released Surety Outlook 2026: Tech & Ops Benchmarks make that clear. On new-client contract bonds, 54% of brokers report turnaround of six days or more. Only 15% of carriers say the same. The carrier sees its own processing time. The broker sees every email, call and resubmission in between. Carriers already see the cost side. They estimate automation could free up about 7.5% of everything they spend. Yet only 8% expect connectivity to drive premium growth. I would challenge that. The easiest carrier to do business with will increasingly get brokers' submissions. On October 29 at 10 am ET, Ahmad Khan, one of the Everest Group analysts behind the research, walks through this year’s benchmarks live. He’s joined by Prashant Dinkar Hinge of MSIG USA, Greg Davenport of Digital Bond Advisory Services, and me. Live attendees get the full report first. Register here: https://lnkd.in/eciz2P_j

Surety has a ratio paradox. Contract bonds carry some of the lowest combined ratios in insurance. They also carry some of the highest expense ratios. Today, Tinubu Surety is closing that gap. We launched three AI-native capabilities for contract bond underwriting: the Underwriter Workbench, a rebuilt Rating Engine, and a new, unified UI. Underwriters spend their days chasing financial statements and WIP schedules, confirming documents belong to the right principal, and checking what else a contractor is carrying. We built these tools to take that work off their plate and put it into decision-making instead: visibility into risk across a portfolio and over time, not just one bond at a time. We launched all three together because they work together. The Workbench cuts a two-week file build to about two hours. The Rating Engine makes every premium line visible. The UI ties intake to issuance into one workspace. Contract bonds are the hardest part of Surety to automate and the most expensive to do manually. That's exactly why we started here. Send me a DM if you'd like to see it in action.
