AI agents never stop halfway. They take a task, harness every tool and data point needed, and move nonstop at machine speed. So, here’s the question security leaders must ask themselves: Is your #AI security designed to protect you all the way? For many organisations, the answer is no. They find shadow AI but can’t fully stop it. They filter prompts but overlook APIs and agent actions. They know where sensitive data lives but don’t control what agents access. They see every AI agent yet govern none. When the thing you’re protecting never pauses, halfway security becomes just an open door with good lighting. That’s why we created the Thales AI Security Fabric, to secure AI completely: →𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 every AI app, model, and agent, including the ones nobody approved → 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭 the sensitive data AI agents touch, with access controls, encryption, tokenization, and key management built in → 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 what agents can do, with real identities and enforceable policies through one AI security control plane → 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫 AI behaviour continuously, so risky actions are caught as they happen → 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐲 with confidence as AI regulations take shape around the world This isn’t just a security issue. Boards demand AI’s benefits, customers expect their data safe, and regulators require proof. None of this trust can exist if security stops halfway. Trusted AI means secure AI, and secure AI means securing all AI - the apps, agents, data, and models. AI goes all the way. Your security should too. AI is changing the nature of application security. Applications are no longer just targets for attackers. They can also be manipulated into doing the attacker’s work. Malicious activity can hide behind traffic that looks entirely legitimate on the surface. For security teams, that makes it harder to distinguish normal behaviour from attacks designed to exploit applications and APIs. This is what we call a business logic attack. As we observe #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth, remember: halfway is no way when it comes to cybersecurity. To truly protect your environment and from business logic vulnerabilities, there are three priorities every organization should consider: Discover every API. You can’t protect what you can’t see. Identify active, unmanaged and shadow APIs to understand your true attack surface. Understand intent, not just traffic. Look beyond request patterns to behaviour and context to identify activity that appears legitimate but may be malicious. Enforce protection wherever traffic flows. Attacks can originate both outside and inside your organization. Your defences need to reflect that reality. The goal is to move beyond simply inspecting traffic to understanding what it is trying to do. As #AI accelerates the sophistication of attacks, protecting applications and APIs requires greater visibility, deeper behavioural insight and enforcement wherever it’s needed. This Cybersecurity Awareness Month, make sure your application security strategy is ready for what comes next. Because Halfway is No Way. #ApplicationSecurity #APISecurity

10.2 billion passengers will pass through the world's airports in 2026. Every one of them a data point. Every interaction a potential cyber threat target.

DORA, GDPR, PCI-DSS. You're likely compliant. But could you detect, contain and recover from an attack tomorrow?

Our economies, public services, critical infrastructure and our daily lives increasingly depend on digital trust. That trust can be lost through a single vulnerability. As AI increases the scale and speed of cyberattacks, and quantum technologies challenge today’s encryption, protecting one part of an organisation is no longer enough. Threats can move across identities, data and entire ecosystems. Cybersecurity must therefore be designed end to end, connecting protection across the whole digital environment. At Thales, this is the principle behind our platform approach to cybersecurity. Halfway is no way.
