“I joined Thai Union in 2015 through the Management Associate program, beginning in supply chain and strategy in Thailand before taking on roles in France. After spending a year in Paris, I moved to Quimper to serve as a production line manager, gaining hands-on factory experience that continues to shape how I approach operations today.” “I later relocated to the Seychelles to join Indian Ocean Tuna, a site that produces ambient tuna products for European markets and transforms tuna co-products into fish meal and fish oil. Over time, I took on broader responsibilities and now serve as General Manager of the plant.” “Stepping into plant management was a turning point in my career. It expanded my scope beyond supply chain and gave me a holistic view of the operation, from environmental and safety management to human resources and engagement with local stakeholders. Working with colleagues from across many cultures and nationalities has also broadened my perspective on leading such a diverse and dynamic operation.” “Living abroad has always felt natural for me, but adapting to different working styles takes time and understanding. The role has taught me the importance of listening closely, understanding context, and meeting people where they are. Once you grasp the ‘why’ behind a culture, collaboration becomes far more intuitive.” TU Talents highlights the individuals powering Thai Union’s performance. “I began my career 24 years ago as a Quality Assurance supervisor at a plant in Ghana, which later became part of Thai Union. Over time, I grew through roles in Quality and Operations, learning how a factory runs end to end.” “In 2016, I moved to Portugal to take on a new challenge at one of our European sites. I arrived in October to cold, dark mornings—a sharp contrast to Ghana’s tropical climate—and stepped into a factory where everything operated in Portuguese. In those early weeks, I wondered if I had made the right decision. With support from the local management team, however, I gradually found my footing and realized I could contribute and make a difference.” “At the site, I led Quality, Food Safety, Environment, and Health and Safety, strengthening our systems and achieving key third-party certifications. It was a complex operation, and the experience stretched my capabilities far beyond what I had learned in previous roles.” “A few years after, I was invited to join the central Quality Assurance team, supporting our European ambient production sites as well as those in Ghana and the Seychelles. The role sits at the intersection of markets, suppliers, and factories, which means balancing different management styles, expectations, cultures, and ways of working. It isn’t always straightforward, but it has taught me the value of clarity and patience, and how to bring different teams together toward the same goals.” “These experiences have broadened how I see the world. Taking on international opportunities may be challenging, but they open the door to tremendous growth.” TU Talents highlights the individuals powering Thai Union’s performance. Reducing the carbon footprint of aquaculture requires shared responsibility across the seafood value chain. From feed to on-farm energy use, progress depends on long-term collaboration between retailers, suppliers, and farmers to test new approaches and scale what works. Whole Foods Market has launched a pilot program aimed at lowering the carbon impact of farmed shrimp, developed in partnership with Thai Union’s Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods. Shrimp is among the most widely consumed seafoods in the United States, yet its farming can create emissions from feed, pond management, and organic matter in ponds. The Whole Foods pilot reduces these impacts through three interventions: deforestation-free feed, automated feeding systems, and solar panels that aim to meet 100% of daytime energy needs. This early work is offering clear lessons on how partners can integrate decarbonization into supply chains and manage the investments needed to make it viable. The initiative aligns with Thai Union’s SeaChange® 2030 sustainability strategy, where responsible aquaculture, climate action, and ecosystem protection remain central to our commitments. “My journey with Thai Union began in Ghana, where I joined the Research & Development team in 2015. I spent a year and a half developing new products and improving our portfolio before moving to the Seychelles—an opportunity that opened the door to a very different kind of experience.” “Once in the Seychelles, my work gradually shifted toward production. Even while developing new products, I always enjoyed supporting the production teams, helping solve issues on the line, understanding challenges, and finding practical solutions together.” “Little by little, that connection grew stronger, and when a production role opened, I asked to be considered. It was a big change after several years in R&D, but looking back, it’s one of the decisions I’m most proud of.” “Today, I manage key parts of the production process at our plant in the Seychelles, overseeing areas from fish cleaning to raw pack, the empty can plant, and fish meal. It’s a role that keeps me close to the teams and the day-to-day operations, which I really enjoy." “Working with colleagues from many cultures and nationalities also keeps things dynamic. Communication styles differ, so flexibility is key—but the diversity brings openness and new ways of thinking that make the work rewarding.” “Outside of work, the Seychelles offers a balance I appreciate: being close to nature helps me reset — diving, hiking, and spending time with friends. It’s a rhythm that keeps me grounded.” TU Talents highlights the individuals powering Thai Union’s performance. “My journey at Thai Union has taken me from leading infrastructure transformation programs across Europe to now working at our headquarters in Bangkok, where I joined a digital transformation project since 2024. After many years working in Europe, I was motivated to take on a role with wider global impact.” “Today, I’m the Product Owner for Network & Connectivity within the Digital Function, leading the global strategy for WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, and cloud connectivity. A big part of my role is modernizing and standardizing our network infrastructure so it’s more resilient and ready to scale.” "As part of my work, I’ve had the opportunity to visit many of Thai Union’s sites, which helped me understand how to balance global standards with local realities — something essential when operating at this scale.” “Working across different cultures and markets has also reinforced the importance of adapting communication styles. It’s taught me to listen more, be patient, and keep priorities aligned through clear and consistent communication.” “On a personal note, living in Thailand has been a highlight. The warmth, positivity, and energy of Thai culture make everyday life — both at work and outside of it — genuinely enjoyable.” TU Talents highlights the individuals powering Thai Union’s performance.
