SaaS-maggedon and why it’s good To say that we live in a time of a profound disruption is not a contrarian view. But I still feel too few pay attention to its main ramifications. Amid all the hype, unjustifiable valuations, appointments of CAIOs, deployment of AI implementation teams, and the latest AI tools, we could easily miss the biggest opportunity of the technological breakthroughs we are witnessing. This is a chance to take a step back and rethink entrenched business models that have long been detached from value creation. Now is a time when we can reward mission-critical companies pursuing value rather than invoice generation only. It is time to slay the dragon of the old cost-plus machine, in too many places still largely built around time-based work, directly by billing hours or indirectly through the traditional “SaaS” pricing model. We had that chance before, and we flunked it. With this new wave of technological progress, we can now get it right. 🤖✅ How? Read my article linked here. 👇 https://lnkd.in/dBKjHC2y Many of the positions Tepsivo has been advocating since 2020 are now surfacing higher above ground in the context of AI disruption and I show these in the last part of the text, focused on pharmacovigilance.

I still buy printed newspaper. It's my favourite way to informed. 🤓 Now, as a regular reader of FT and a fan of their reporting, it feels nice to see them reporting that Tepsivo is among the fastest growing businesses in Europe. And in the top quarter as well! 🚀 This is a great testament to our ambitious mission to modernize a rigid industry and turn pharmacovigilance into a value-based field of healthcare. Seeing the total growth numbers lays bare the journey we've travelled and shows the stark difference from our very scrappy beginnings. At a time like this, it's important to remember where we came from and celebrate those who made it happen. This goes out to all our employees, partners, customers, and friends, whose trust in our vision has driven us forward! But to call out just one name, I'll have to choose Pia S., who will forever boast of the first-ever work enquiry and who has been dedicated to the Tepsivo mission since the very raw early days. Thank you Pia! With the CAGR looking to remain stable for a couple of years to come, this (completely natural) picture is likely to be an annual routine. 🥂 I'm excited.

It's unfortunately a classic situation we’re still seeing too much with our customers: you’ve decided to switch drug safety service provider and/or safety database vendor, but they start treating your own drug safety data as a "hostage" through exorbitant exit fees, restrictive contracts, or excuses of technical complexity that makes migrating your data intentionally difficult. Even the idea of this kind of situation often forces companies to stay with suboptimal solutions. If you’re only in the process of setting up a safety database for medicinal product adverse events for the first time, this should be on the top of your list. Make sure that you’re able to import cases in bulk and that you’re also able to export them. This needs to be accessible to a standard admin user and you or your IT personnel should have this type of role. I believe that pharmaceutical companies deserve full, unencumbered access to their own data, and the migration process should be a standard, low-friction, and ideally, free experience. Of course there can be challenges related to safety database migration, as there can be with any kind of migration. For example, the XMLs exported from the previously used safety database need to be adapted for the new safety database or split to individual cases from one batch XML. Or some of the data needs to be remapped because certain non-E2B fields are not available in the new database. This type of modification can be now handled in a matter of minutes by a PV specialist equipped with generative AI. For example Google’s set of tools can be used to build a small migration app (with a handful of prompts) that can be easily and securely used by a pharmacovigilance specialist, instead of spending weeks time and money on the work of a “specialist team”, still required by many vendors. The list of excuses for slow and costly migrations is getting shorter by the day. If your drug safety service provider or safety database vendor is holding your data hostage, it’s time to talk about a better way. Credits for the picture to my colleague Antti Miikki who was already a safety database migration guru, but now has turned into a proper wizard with the latest iteration of AI tools. #Migration #DrugSafety #PharmaTech #Tepsivo #safetydata #database

Hey pharma! We just published a new pricing page 👇 => Long story short: It’s possible to save approximately 70% of your current budget spent on pharmacovigilance (check for yourself!) How do we achieve this? ===================== By doing things different. At Tepsivo, we don't use modern technology to inflate the price tag of PV services, but to decrease it. And so, while old-school providers still use automation mainly as a marketing feature, we design it directly for the real benefit of our customers: 100% compliance at a significantly lower cost. How about hourly rates, ICSR limits, ad hoc fees,...? ============================= Forget them. ⛔ There is no place for those cost-inflating practices in modern pharmacovigilance outsourcing. A truly efficient, well-designed pharmacovigilance system can be based on fixed and predictable prices. This is what we have advocated for since our beginning in 2020 and now, with 50+ clients, we are happy to see that the market appreciates the logical shift more and more. Where can I see ballpark quotes? ========================= Directly on the recently updated page on Tepsivo website! Have a look: www.tepsivo.com/pricing Our pricing is fully public and now available in even more transparent, better structured format. — Considering to make your PV operations truly efficient? ➡️ Contact us for a demo! High-volume. Multi-vendor. Bilingual. 🙈 And still, such a custom-made safety reporting solution can cost just €250K / year (with Tepsivo). Full case study: https://lnkd.in/dUAEEFqu And while we have your attention, a little food for thought ⬇️ At Tepsivo, we would generally expect a provider's case study to feature: - Real numbers - True context - Tangible benefits - Transparent cost That's what case studies should naturally be about, right? But mostly, they aren't. We see buzzwords instead. Stock photos. Fragmented workflows presented as streamlined solutions. And no price tags at all. Shaping the new standards for the pharmacovigilance industry over the last 5 years, this is one of the areas where we feel a shift is also needed. So, the slide deck you can view using the link above (scroll back up) is our 7th case study where we aim for just that... ...maybe also sparking some inspiration and revealing possibilities to modernize pharmacovigilance processes at your company? 🙃 ----- Feel free to let us know if you feel anything is missing. Balancing the level of insightful detail with the focus on client privacy always leaves some features unpublished, but we're happy to showcase those for your specific use case. ----- Final note: Earlier Tepsivo case studies are always accessible on this page https://lnkd.in/dGDtsmBA

A truly global pharmacovigilance service does not end at the borders of the EU, the US, or India. Right? 🤔 But wait. Do you see traditional PV providers hiring local experts outside of these regions? Probably not. Services can often be "global" just on paper. Spoiler 1: Tepsivo is different. Spoiler 2: We're constantly hiring e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e! Spoiler 3: If you're a pharma company, your PV system doesn't have to be a messy patchwork of local pharmacovigilance vendors. Think of markets like Uganda. Nigeria. Bolivia. Morocco. Laos. The list could go on. Countries that are not small at all, but there's a common pattern: They are treated as "Rest of World." The laziness of old-school pharmacovigilance providers can get these carved out of "global" service contracts. As a result, pharma clients search for local PV support for certain countries on their own and need to combine providers. But who needs a “global" service that actually stops at the regional borders where the regulatory landscape gets complex? We think that’s a broken model. At Tepsivo, we believe in a truly modern pharmacovigilance service - one that cares about every single market. And thanks to our solution called Tepsivo OnePV, LCPPVs from all around the world can deliver tasks in a unique, fully digital way. Long story short 👇 If you're an experienced pharmacovigilance professional from literally any country in the world, make sure to check out our "global opportunities" job offer at: https://lnkd.in/dhvAPTkr How about working for pharma clients that really care about pharmacovigilance done the modern way?
