We're building an AI hacker. DeepSeek just gave us our lowest cost per finding. Now, consider what that means for the attackers targeting your company. We ran it in our labs (via our inference). Result: It’s the most efficient model we’ve tested, marginally from the smartest (Opus 5). Meaning it delivers serious offensive capability at a fraction of the cost. That’s the uncomfortable part. The US government banned it from government computers. But the attackers targeting those same agencies aren’t on government computers. They have no restriction, and no oversight. At Tenzai, we’re building the world’s most powerful AI hacker, so that means we always evaluate the latest models to stay ahead and equip our agent with the highest intelligence. Tenzai is model-agnostic: we bring the harness, you choose the model. So the real question isn’t whether your adversaries have access to DeepSeek. They do, and they’ve had it longer than DHS’s ban was public. It's whether your defenses can keep pace with a threat that just got a lot cheaper to run. We tested the forbidden model. TL;DR: DeepSeek is the most efficient (the best cost-to-finding) model we've tested. Still, it's banned from every US federal civilian agency, with DHS citing data exposure, malware risks, PII collection. The order was signed in July, and it was made public this week. We ran it in our labs (via our inference) - we simply had to know. Result: It’s the most efficient model we’ve tested, marginally from the smartest (Opus 5).
