Q1 planning with every checkout in the market in front of you. Join Michael as he shows how to use Tembi to build a better understanding of what worked last quarter and what didn't. All data in the film is fictional, but it shows which questions build a clearer picture of market and competitive performance, and how the answers turn into a campaign you can plan around.

Delivery is one of the few things a brand has to decide again for every market it enters. The providers consumers trust, the delivery methods they expect and the price they will accept at checkout all change at the border, so a setup that converts in Germany can quietly cost orders in Denmark. Take one setting as an example. We looked at where beauty webshops in 13 European markets have set their free-delivery threshold. The typical threshold is around €40, but it starts at €29 in Germany and the UK and climbs to €53 in Denmark. A beauty brand that copies its German threshold into Denmark is giving free delivery away €24 below where the local category has set it, and one that does the reverse is asking German consumers to spend €24 more than the shops around it before delivery is free. Most brands settle this by looking at a few competitors they know and copying the largest one, which is a thin basis for a decision that touches every single order. The number a brand needs is the benchmark for its own category in the country it is entering, at the price points where it competes, and the same goes for which delivery providers to offer, which delivery methods and what to charge for them. That is what we show brands at Tembi, built from the checkout of every webshop in a market rather than the few already on your list. If you are setting up delivery in a new market, or rethinking it in one you are already in, send us a message. Francesco Tribuni this is in line with a lot of the things we have been talking about. Q1 2027 planning is coming up, and I keep thinking about how often it starts from the wrong place: a win list from last quarter and a target for the next one. The win list tells you who signed. It doesn't tell you who quietly replaced you in a checkout in May, which category that happened in, or why. And it doesn't tell you what the shops you won have in common, which is the one thing you'd want to repeat. That is the part I find most useful about having every checkout in the market in front of you: the patterns are there, you just have to ask. So I made a short film about how I would use Tembi - Market Intelligence for sales and campaign planning as a carrier: analyse what worked and what didn't over two quarters, find the patterns, turn them into two campaigns, and track them landing. The numbers and cases are simulated for the purpose of the video, but I used real brand names so it feels like an actual planning flow.

Leaders in Logistics starts today in London, and Dennis Poulsen and Vincenzo Cantone from our team are there with checkout data on every major delivery provider in Europe. The chart is one example from the UK, where the delivery fee a shopper is charged depends a lot on the carrier. Among the domestic carriers, InPost UK, Evri, Yodel (Yodel Delivery Network Ltd) and Royal Mail sit at around €4–5 on average, with GLS at €5.58 and DPD UK at €7.99. The cross-border networks DHL, FedEx, UPS and Parcelforce come in at €9–11. These are the fees webshops charge their customers, not the rates carriers charge webshops. We capture them through simulated checkouts, the same way we monitor more than 1.2 million webshops across 27 markets. If you're at the event and want to see how your network is priced and positioned at checkout, come and find Dennis and Vincenzo or send them a message to book a meeting.

Two people who moved their organisations from gut feeling to data are sharing how they did it, at our office in central Copenhagen on 1 October. Mette-My Filholm Kristensen, Head of E-commerce & Marketplaces at Sports Group Denmark, will explain why they moved away from setting prices by hand, how the commercial team works differently now, and what it took to get there. Peter Boris Kreilgaard, former CCO and eCommerce Director at Coop, led coop.dk from an organisation run on experience and instinct to one steered by data, and he's bringing the concrete cases from that journey. We're hosting E-commerce Sessions together with 7Learnings, for people who run e-commerce, pricing or commercial teams. The room is kept small on purpose, so there's space to ask about your own situation, and we round off with a buffet so the conversations can carry on. Thursday 1 October, 15.30–19.00 Fiolstræde, central Copenhagen Seats are limited, so sign up right here on LinkedIn to save yours. Participation upon admission.

The only thing I love more than listening to podcasts is sitting in a small room with people who have already been through what I'm facing. I get to ask my own questions, and everyone else in the room cares about the same topic. Our E-commerce Sessions, hosted with 7Learnings, are exactly that kind of room. The focus is transformation in practice, with two phenomenal storytellers sharing real insight from within their organisations. Mette-My Filholm Kristensen, Head of E-commerce & Marketplaces at Sports Group Denmark, will share why they moved away from manual price setting, how the commercial team works differently now, and what it took to get there. Peter Boris Kreilgaardis Kreilgaard, former CCO and eCommerce Director at Coop, led coop.dk from an organisation run on experience and instinct to one steered by data, and he's bringing the concrete cases from that journey. On top of that, there's a champagne tasting and a buffet to keep the conversations going. Date: Thursday 1 October Time: 15.30–19.00 Location: Tembi's office, Fiolstræde 10, central Copenhagen The room is deliberately small, so register for your seat in the comments! Or DM me!
