| Product focus: CCR50kV-8kJ capacitor charger for klystron pulse modulator | 50kV, 8kJ and 30Hz operation – all in a compact 5U format. For a long-standing research customer, Technix was selected to supply a capacitor charger for the Pulse Forming Network (PFN) of a klystron pulse modulator. One of the main requirements was the ability to charge the PFN at a repetition rate of 30Hz, while keeping the system compact and easy to integrate. Our CCR50kV-8kJ capacitor charger was selected to combine several key advantages: • 50kV – 8kJ capacitor charging capability • Operation at up to 30Hz • Compact 5U rack-mountable design • Air-cooled architecture • High-voltage connectors and cables specifically selected for the required operating conditions Beyond the technical performance, this project also reflects the long-term relationship we have built with this research center over the years. Their continued trust, combined with our ability to propose a compact solution tailored to demanding pulsed-power requirements, was key to moving forward with this new project. Another example of how Technix adapts its capacitor charging solutions to the specific constraints of accelerator and pulsed-power applications. ⚡ #Technix #HighVoltage #CapacitorCharger #PulsedPower #Klystron #PFN #ParticleAccelerator #PowerElectronics #Engineering

| Product focus: 33kV – 60kW DC power supply for electron tube | When powering a sensitive electron tube, delivering the right voltage and power is only part of the challenge. For a customer project, Technix developed a custom 33kV – 60kW DC power supply solution, designed around the specific requirements of the tube and its installation. Several aspects were considered from the early stages of the project: • Optimized operating point The 33kV – 60kW configuration was selected to meet the required performance while minimizing the number of power modules and optimizing the overall system. • Integration into the customer's installation Technix supplied the necessary connection equipment, including custom cables and a high-voltage output paralleling box, together with installation recommendations to facilitate integration into the customer's cabinet. • Protection of a sensitive load As the electron tube is a particularly sensitive component, our team worked closely with the customer on the protection strategy. The objective was to make the most of the power supply's own protection capabilities while reducing the constraints on the additional protection system initially planned. This project illustrates an important part of our approach: not simply supplying a high-voltage power supply, but adapting the complete solution to the application, its integration constraints and the equipment it needs to protect. ⚡ #Technix #HighVoltage #PowerSupply #ElectronTube #PowerElectronics #CustomEngineering #Engineering #HighVoltageEngineering

| Product focus: CCR100kV-2.5kJ capacitor charger for Marx generator | How do you synchronously charge two capacitor banks at +100kV and -100kV? For the upgrade of a ±100kV Marx generator, a customer approached Technix with a specific requirement: charging a positive and a negative capacitor bank simultaneously, while controlling both chargers as a single system. To meet this requirement, Technix supplied a CCR100kV-2.5kJ capacitor charging solution designed for synchronized, symmetrical operation. The system combines: • +100kV and -100kV capacitor charging • Synchronized control of both chargers as a single system • A digital control interface via optical fiber • Electrical isolation between the high-voltage section and the user's control system • Reliable communication in a demanding EMC environment Another key challenge was the voltage level itself. Capacitor chargers are typically available at significantly lower voltages. Thanks to our high-voltage expertise, we were able to provide a 100kV capacitor charger specifically adapted to the requirements of this Marx generator. #Technix #HighVoltage #CapacitorCharger #MarxGenerator #PulsedPower #PowerElectronics #OpticalFiber #Engineering #HighVoltageEngineering

| Application focus: Electromagnetic launchers | Electromagnetic launchers use powerful electromagnetic fields to accelerate projectiles without relying on conventional chemical propellants. While often associated with defense research, these technologies are also widely used in scientific and industrial applications, including: • Hypervelocity impact testing • Material characterization • Electromagnetic forming • Aerospace launch-assist research • Plasma physics • Pulsed-power experiments At the heart of these systems are high-voltage capacitor chargers. The energy required for each launch is first stored in capacitor banks before being released within microseconds, generating the high-current pulse needed to accelerate the projectile. To ensure repeatable and reliable operation, capacitor chargers must provide: • Precise charging voltage • Fast recharge times • High charging efficiency • Excellent repeatability • Comprehensive protection against electrical faults With decades of experience in high-voltage power electronics, Technix develops capacitor chargers and regulated DC power supplies delivering 1kV to 300kV, with power ratings ranging from 300W to several hundred kilowatts. Our solutions are designed for demanding pulsed-power applications where precision, reliability and flexibility are essential. They feature: • Programmable voltage and current control • High charging efficiency • Excellent voltage regulation • Analog and digital remote interfaces • Custom configurations tailored to specific research and industrial requirements From university laboratories to advanced industrial test facilities, Technix supports the development of next-generation pulsed-power technologies with reliable high-voltage solutions. ⚡ #HighVoltage #CapacitorCharger #PulsedPower #ElectromagneticLauncher #Research #Engineering #PowerElectronics #Innovation #Technix

| Application focus: Ionic wind systems | Ionic wind, also known as electrohydrodynamic (EHD) airflow, is an innovative technology that generates airflow using only an electric field without any moving mechanical parts. By applying a high DC voltage between two electrodes, air molecules become ionized and accelerate toward the opposite electrode. As they collide with neutral air molecules, they create a continuous airflow. This principle opens the door to a wide range of applications, including: • Silent cooling • Compact, maintenance-free air circulation systems • Electroaerodynamic propulsion for lightweight aircraft and drones To achieve stable and efficient operation, ionic wind systems require a high-voltage DC power supply capable of delivering: • Stable output voltage over several kilovolts to tens of kilovolts • Fast rise time • High reliability and robustness • Excellent voltage regulation for consistent ionization With decades of experience supplying HV DC power supplies for plasma and ionization applications, Technix provides reliable solutions ideally suited for ionic wind technologies, whether for electronic cooling, air movement or advanced propulsion research. As ionic wind applications continue to evolve, reliable high-voltage power remains a key enabler of their performance. ⚡ #HighVoltage #IonicWind #Electrohydrodynamics #PowerSupply #CoolingTechnology #Plasma #Engineering #Innovation #Technix
