There are certain moments that make our work deeply meaningful - one of them is hearing farmers say, no matter where they are, that technology has vastly improved their life. With Cropwise, we're building a unified ecosystem where farm management is truly at their fingertips - one login, endless possibilities. While the journey ahead is long, AI is helping us to go faster. Thank you David Silverberg for beautifully capturing how AI and technology make a difference in farmers lives. I've been contributing to the latest Harvard Business Review report on agentic AI, and now that it's published, some of the findings really struck me. At Syngenta Group, we believe agentic AI isn't a tech project—it's a business transformation. And that shift in mindset changes everything. One of our biggest decisions? We chose not to build our own AI models. The technology moves faster than we ever could—hyperscalers like Amazon Web Services (AWS) will always be several models ahead. Instead, we're investing in what creates lasting value: data infrastructure, reimagined business processes, and change management. The temptation is to automate existing workflows and call it innovation, but that just creates expensive processes on a fancy tech stack. Real impact comes from rethinking how work gets done and bringing process experts into the conversation from day one. The hardest part isn't the technology—it's the people. A few see the potential immediately, but most need time. We've learned that turning skeptics into champions by solving their specific problems creates momentum that top-down mandates never could. Everyone was talking about AI at Davos. But the real question is who it’s actually built for. At the World Economic Forum, our CEO Jeff Rowe sat down with Nandan Nilekani, Co-founder and Chairman of the Board, Infosys, to unpack the misconception in agriculture: that AI will replace the farmer. The reality is the opposite. Farmers bring generations of knowledge, and AI’s role is to sharpen that expertise, making decisions more precise, more accessible, and easier to scale. 🌱 From delivering personalized AI videos to farmers in local languages, to delivering data-backed insights at scale, the focus remains the same. Technology only matters if it works in the real world, including for smallholder farmers. Because accessibility isn’t negotiable. And if innovation doesn’t work for smallholders, it doesn’t work for food security. 🌍 “AI won’t replace farmers. It will augment them.”- Nandan Nilekani, Co-founder and Chairman of the Board, Infosys. Infosys Manufacturing Infosys Europe #WEF2026

How can leaders successfully support AI adoption? At the World Economic Forum, our CEO Jeff Rowe is sharing how organizations should practically scale AI. His three practical takeaways: 1. Roll up your sleeves. AI can’t be delegated to IT — leadership has to own the direction, decisions, and trade-offs. 2. Back the use cases that scale. Prioritise projects that can move the needle across the enterprise, not just prove a point in one team. 3. Move faster than you think is comfortable. AI value compounds with speed — build momentum, learn quickly, iterate. Every CEO is on an AI adoption curve right now. The question is: are we building pilots… or building capability? #AI #Leadership #DigitalTransformation #Innovation #WEF2026

The steep drop in farm numbers globally is a wake-up call for food system resilience. 🔊 AI and digital tools can help farmers do more with less: sharper decisions, stronger yields, smarter input use, and better risk management. But a new Ipsos study shows there’s still a significant technology adoption gap — and we won’t close it by assuming one-size-fits-all solutions. That’s why we’re championing AI and digital equity in agriculture at the World Economic Forum: pioneering digital and AI equity in agriculture, serving as an ecosystem enabler committed to making digital solutions and AI affordable, aspirational, and accessible — across all farmer segments, everywhere. 🔗 Discover more: https://lnkd.in/dpUMPGGd #AI #FoodSecurity #AgTech #Farmers #WEF2026

How AI enables agricultural intelligence and revolutionizes farming – our CEO Jeff Rowe shares his perspective with the World Economic Forum. As we face the challenge of feeding nearly 10 billion people by 2050, innovation in farming is a must. Through agricultural intelligence - the fusion of AI, data analytics, and decades of agronomic expertise - farmers on this journey can do more with less. Digital agriculture has the potential to increase agricultural GDP in developing regions by $450 billion annually. The future of farming is here, and it's digital.
