INSIDE Manager helps building managers move from early morning alarms and reactive troubleshooting to structured, proactive work. With real-time monitoring, present and historical data as well as prioritised alarm notifications, it becomes easy to know what is happening, where it is happening and how urgent the issue is when an alarm goes off. As building portfolios grow and performance expectations increase, INSIDE Manager is an ideal service for better prioritisation, fewer unnecessary site visits and improved operational reliability over time. Clear dashboards and advanced analytics support building management teams in focusing on the right actions, at the right time. Conversations from neighbouring rooms or hallways are often heard despite closed doors and solid walls. In HVAC, this phenomenon is called crosstalk and refers to sound transmission that occurs through ducts, diffusers or openings in walls and ceilings not intended for doors or windows. Crosstalk often disturbs concentration and interrupts peace and quiet. It can affect productivity, cause distraction and also have an impact on sleep and rest. Tony Olsson, Product Manager Acoustics, explains how crosstalk arises, lists the common challenges when designing an indoor climate solution and presents how updated software supports more accurate calculations and more correctly designed solutions. Understanding crosstalk reduces the risk of creating a building where the walls “talk”. Find it here: https://lnkd.in/dPVHfn6g #Feelgoodinside

Designing an effective indoor climate solution is never a straight-forward decision. Factors such as energy efficiency, acoustics, aesthetics, flexibility and sustainability must be carefully balanced, and it is often they come with competing priorities. Our expert, Jan Scheuring, Head of Product Management Climate Ceilings at Swegon, explains how passive ceiling sail systems can address this challenge while ensuring a healthy and comfortable indoor climate. Passive ceiling sail systems are designed for buildings with thermal active building systems (TABS). Together these solutions address energy efficiency targets through radiant heating and cooling, provide strong acoustic performance, allow for easy installation and meet interior design requirements in both new-builds and renovations. Finally, this blog post not only shares product knowledge it also presents the recently inaugurated factory extension in Heppenheim, Germany. This is now where all our climate ceiling products within Swegon are manufactured. At this site we bring together expertise and state-of-the-art manufacturing while we continue presence in our local markets to remain close to all our customers. The building industry accounts for around 40% of global carbon emissions, with heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) responsible for the majority. This places our industry in a unique position: both part of the problem, and essential to the solution. In a new blog post, Caroline Jacobsson, Circular Business Director at Swegon, highlights what is needed for real progress. She also points out that solutions already exist, solutions that build on circularity practices, digitalisation and life-cycle thinking, solutions that can reduce emissions, increase efficiency and strengthen long-term competitiveness. At Swegon, we are committed to enabling these sustainable alternatives. We are confident that, by aligning across the industry, we can reach the goal of a more sustainable building sector without compromising any of the industry partners competitiveness. As temperatures rise and urban populations grow, the role of buildings in protecting people from dangerous heat becomes increasingly important. In our latest blog post, Fabio Polo, Head of Strategic Product Management within our cooling and heating business, reflects on how cooling needs evolve across Europe and why thoughtful design, efficient solutions and sustainable choices, like heat pumps, are key to ensure not only protection, but also comfort and well-being for the people inside. At Swegon, we are committed to understanding these challenges and contributing with responsible solutions, learn more in our blog post https://lnkd.in/dPSdR6vU #Feelgoodinside

Noise and decibel, we’ll explain. When designing HVAC solutions, noise is a primary concern as a quiet indoor environment is always desired. But noise has a technical challenge that requires clarity. Understanding the difference between sound power (Lw) and sound pressure (Lp), both expressed in decibel, is essential. Good knowledge about dB and dB not only supports the creation of a comfortable soundscape inside a building, it also ensures correct product comparisons and sets the acoustic expectations right. In this blog post, Tony Olsson, Product Manager Acoustics at Swegon, explains the basics of decibels by clarifying the difference between sound power and sound pressure, and describing why a room context matters when interpreting dB values.
