What can a single Raybird flight reveal about hundreds of kilometres of pipeline? From changes along the route to potential leaks, Raybird helps teams identify where a closer inspection is needed — even in areas that are difficult to reach from the ground. Detailed imagery helps teams spot changes, while orthomosaics and 3D models support closer analysis of individual sections. An infrared payload helps identify potential leaks that may go unnoticed during a standard visual inspection. With endurance of up to 24 hours, Raybird covers long distances and hard-to-access sections, helping teams focus their inspections and reducing the need to deploy ground crews into hazardous areas.

Skyeton at Future Land Forces Over 350,000 hours of combat-proven operations underpin the experience our team will bring to Future Land Forces. On 4 November at 15:55, the Skyeton team will present “Achieving autonomy at the edge and the use of aerial support for ground operations via Raybird.” Raybird brings multiple mission capabilities together in a single platform, including airborne target designation to support ground operations. At Skyeton, aviation engineering expertise and experience from combat use inform our approach to autonomy and the platform’s role in operational missions. Meet the Skyeton team at Booth 65 on 3–5 November to exchange insights, discuss Raybird’s capabilities, and explore opportunities for cooperation.

Maintaining communications beyond line of sight. Complex terrain, dense urban environments, and electronic jamming can make direct control impossible. Raybird operates as an airborne relay in these conditions, extending the data link by 50–80 km and helping maintain stable communications. The relay mission requires no field modifications. Raybird provides an intermediate link, allowing the team to continue receiving data even when the direct link is unavailable.

As the enemy shifts positions, Raybird keeps them in sight. Persistent ISR, precise target coordinates, and timely intelligence support accurate strikes.

“Our philosophy has always been to develop the platform’s core capability to its fullest potential. Long endurance significantly improves effectiveness. Takeoff and landing are the highest-risk phases of any flight. But even more importantly, continuity is critical in both military and civilian missions,” says Oleksandr Stepura, founder of Skyeton. This approach is shaped by 20 years of aviation engineering, rethinking technical solutions, and experience operating during a full-scale war. In an interview with defence-network.com, Oleksandr Stepura discussed Skyeton’s evolution from light sport aircraft to unmanned systems, along with the challenges, key changes, and plans shaping the company.
