#MetroAtlanta is emerging as one of the fastest-growing data center markets in the U.S. A major hyperscale operator pre-leased more than 300 megawatts of capacity and planned to secure another 600 megawatts by the end of 2025 (which is right now!). That scale of development represents billions in #investment and an enormous demand for #skilledtrades in #electrical work, #coolingsystems, and large-scale #construction. For #Georgia’s #workforce, it’s more than a data boom. It's a long-term opportunity to power and maintain the infrastructure behind the digital economy. As #datacenters expand, the #skilled #trades are becoming the backbone of Georgia’s tech-driven growth. If you think this is coming, you are wrong... It is here!!!!! #SKLD #WorkElevated #BuildWithSKLD #SupportTrades #Respect

One thing we hear from warehouse leaders again and again is how hard it has become to build stable teams. 59% of warehouses say they struggle to find and retain qualified workers. The talent exists, but the matching process often misses the mark. When people are placed in roles that do not fit their skills or goals, turnover shows up quickly. When onboarding is rushed, it shows up even faster. And when expectations are unclear, the cycle repeats. The facilities that hold on to people tend to slow down just enough to get the fundamentals right. Clear communication. Realistic job previews. Support during the first few weeks. Those small steps create predictability in an unpredictable industry.

This stat says a lot about what people actually want at work. 73% of logistics and warehouse managers would stay at least six years with better career guidance. 57% would stay ten years or more. In our world, that is a big deal. Turnover gets expensive fast. Most leaders are not leaving because they hate the work. They leave because they do not see where it leads. The interesting part is how simple the fix can be. A real conversation! Clear expectations! A plan that grows over time! People stay longer when someone invests in their direction. #SKLD #WorkElevated #PeopleFirstLeadership

This stat explains a lot about the pressure leaders feel. 50% of supply chain leaders received fewer than nine hours of leadership training over the last ten years. That is barely anything for a job that affects safety, retention, and team performance every day. Most leaders are doing their best with what they have. They step into roles quickly. They take on responsibility fast. And they often do it without guidance. When leadership support is limited, teams feel it. When leaders feel prepared, teams feel that too. Small investments in development can shift an entire operation.

Georgia’s power needs are rising fast, and #datacenters are a major driver. Georgia Power has more than 8 gigawatts of new generation capacity scheduled after 2030, reflecting the surge in large-scale digital infrastructure. For context, 1 gigawatt (GW) can power roughly 750,000 homes! Much of this demand is coming from hyperscale data centers that require enormous and reliable power to support cloud computing, AI, and digital services. This level of buildout will increase the need for #skilledtrades across power generation, transmission, electrical systems, and large-scale #construction. As data centers continue to expand, the workforce behind energy and infrastructure becomes even more essential. Meeting #future power needs will depend on the #skilledprofessionals who build and maintain the systems that keep the digital economy running. #SKLD #WorkElevated #BuildWithSKLD #Electricians #HVAC #MissionCritical #Infrastructure

This stat made me smile because it matches what we hear every day. 71% of workers in warehousing and logistics want continuous learning. 86% of managers want it too. People really do want to grow. Sometimes they just do not have the right support or a clear place to start. Most of the conversations we have with candidates turn into questions about training, certifications, or the next step. It is not about chasing titles. It is about feeling like you are progressing. There is a lot of untapped potential in this industry. People are more motivated than they get credit for.
