🚀 First day at the Singularity Executive Leadership Program — and my mindset has already been transformed. To thrive as leaders in today’s ever-evolving landscape, we must keep an open mind, interpret the signals of change, and continuously innovate to stay ahead in an increasingly competitive world. One key takeaway: defining a Massive Transformational Purpose (MTP) is not optional — it’s essential. Think big. Challenge the status quo. Embrace future technologies. Lead with inspiration. 💡 A few reflections that struck me: • Biology as technology — a powerful concept that redefines what’s possible, while raising important ethical conversations. • AI isn’t about use cases — it’s about problem-solving. Start with your P&L to identify where meaningful impact can be made and scale from there. • Quantum computing — a revolution in solving complex challenges faster, and enabling more secure systems. A heartfelt thanks to the Singularity team — Aaron Frank Alix Rübsaam Anne Connelly Tiffany Vora and Diedrick Croese — for the inspiration and insight. This is just the beginning. Onward! 🌍💡 #Deloitte #Leadership #SingularityU #Innovation #FutureThinking #AI #QuantumComputing #MTP #ExecutiveEducation

I feel extremely privileged to have had an opportunity of attending Singularity University executive program over the course of last week. Initially I travelled to Silicon Valley expecting to learn about new technologies and trends of their adoption. This expectation was more than fulfilled, as I learned about latest research on quantum computing, biotechnologies, advanced materials, robotics, artificial intelligence, genetics, biomanufacturing, future of transportation, spatial computing and many other technologies. All placed into a framework of exponential growth and exponential thinking. However, I took away much more. Besides my head and notebook full of new ideas I left with even more open questions than I had before the course. I think that Dr. Vivienne Ming very nicely summarized this state of mind during her lecture by stating that “what we know is finite, but what we do not know is infinite – and it will always be”. Besides connecting existing dots in my mind, I found and explored many “new dots” and realized just how vast and exponential the potential for new connections really is. Not just for individuals, but for society and humanity as a whole. This realization provides me with a certain degree of optimism regarding our capacity as humanity to overcome serious challenges like environmental change, poverty, access to education, all forms of inequalities, peaceful adoption of new technologies (i.e. biotechnology, AI), quantum security and population ageing to mention few. What made this learning experience really special were other participants – top leaders and experts in their fields, and most important - humanity forward thinking individuals. Open discussions from various angles and perspectives on all topics multiplied the learning experience and exploration of new “dots” to be connected. Main reflections were about ethics, equality, education and about use of the technological tools to make the world a better place for all of us. Words like profit or revenue didn’t belong to this mental space. At the end I would like to make an observation about impact of exponential growth on finance industry and especially insurance – some of the “dots” I connected. Progress in biotechnology and especially research that is being done in the field of longevity will have a severely disruptive impact on our models (esp. actuarial mortality tables, needs based analysis etc.) – there is a relatively high degree of urgency with which this has to be analyzed, understood and addressed. On the other hand, this will bring a new plethora of opportunities to democratize new health solutions through our products and services. In this way we can ensure that new technologies will benefit all, rather than selected few. I would like to thank the staff of Singularity University and all the participants for this truly unique learning experience that changed my understanding of the world. #Singularity #Exponential #BetterWorld #Technology
