One mistyped dimension, and the bill from UPS shows up later. Yitz Zafrani has sold liquidation, overstock and returns on eBay for 10 years with Pallet Sellers and Shop Stock. When they started, every shipment meant typing weights and dimensions in by hand. He went looking for a scale that could dimension his products, found our video on YouTube, and in his words, "the rest is history." Now his team sets the box on the 4D Scale and scans the SKU. The weight and dimensions go straight into their shipping software, with nothing typed by hand. "Nobody's mistyping any weights or dimensions. We're not getting back any unexpected bills from UPS." Still typing dimensions by hand? Try the 4D Scale with our 30 day money back guarantee. Contact us: https://lnkd.in/gYRpiEEG #4DScale #Ecommerce #WarehouseAutomation

Tuesday morning, this was an empty spot on a warehouse floor. By lunch, it was sorting packages by carrier. That is what a Carrier Sortation install looks like. No construction, no electrician, no weeks of downtime. The whole line runs off one standard outlet and draws about as much power as a desktop computer. Here is how the morning went: Roll the modules in and line them up. Mount the cameras and plug it in. Sign in, set your carriers, and start sorting. Piece of cake. From here on, every packed order goes to the right carrier gaylord. Nobody gets pulled off packing to sort at the end of the shift, and nobody is digging through a gaylord for the package that went to the wrong carrier. Adding a carrier? Change your configuration in real time. Need more exits later? Add a module. Each one is 21.5 by 18 inches, so it fits the floor you already have. The sort will never be the bottleneck. If your team is still sorting by hand, contact us and let’s get Carrier Sortation on your floor. Link in the comments. #3PL #warehouse #ecommerce #fulfillment #shipping

12–25 orders to a cart was normal to me when I managed a 3PL. Then I saw a put-to-light (or order consolidation if you prefer that term more) workflow moving roughly 196 orders in about the same amount of time. Back then, our process was pretty straightforward: pick into totes on a cart, usually 12–25 orders at a time, bring the cart back, sort, pack, and repeat. Seeing Skublox in action made me look at that process completely differently. With put-to-light, picked items come to the wall, the right destination lights up, the item gets placed and scanned, and completed orders move forward. It’s a simple process. But the difference in throughput is hard to ignore. For a 3PL manager or warehouse owner, this is the part I keep coming back to: How much time and capacity are tied up in a workflow simply because it’s the way things have always been done? I know I recently posted about Skublox, but this is a different use case that really stuck with me. put-to-light is only one application. Skublox can also support order consolidation, multi-item orders, pick-to-light, pick-to-tote, kitting and bundling, and order accuracy. It can be used across 3PL, distribution, wholesale, e-commerce, manufacturing, and other warehouse environments. I’m honestly surprised more operations aren’t having conversations about this. Here’s the sort-to-light page if you're interested at looking at it a little bit more: https://lnkd.in/g3SzbkYu If you manage or own a warehouse and want to talk through whether this could fit your operation, message me here on LinkedIn. I’d be happy to compare notes! Seller Hardware #WarehouseAutomation #3PL #OrderFulfillment #WarehouseEfficiency

1 sorter, 320 multi-item orders, during a 30 minute lunch break. At ShipFlow 3PL, efficiency & accuracy are at the core of everything they do. I popped by today during lunch - and noticed 1 person who was sorting multi-item orders during the break. While everyone else eats, 1 employee continues sorting so that when packers get back, they each have 80 orders ready to be packed and shipped. With Skublox, 1 person can do the work of multiple. The sorter can be on her first day on the job - she just needs to know to follow her color. Scan an item - put it in the slot lighting up "red". The shipper side turns green to let the shipper know when the order can be packed up and shipped. During a 30 minute lunch break, 1 sorter was able to get 320 orders ready to start packing as soon as the packers get back. The best part isn't the speed, its the accuracy that comes with it. As Shipflow's CEO put it, "There is no room for error, just scan, scan, scan - its dumby proof!"
