Ever moved a sample but the spreadsheet still shows its old location? And now your whole lab's searching the freezers and asking who used it last. SciSure's Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) gives your team a shared place to manage sample locations, review their history, and connect samples to experiment. No more manually entering data from spreadsheets either; barcode tools and batch editing help your teams keep those records updated as work progresses. Check out the walkthrough to see how it works with your lab workflows in mind. #LaboratoryInformationManagementSoftware #LabSampleManagement

Your scientists might already be documenting their work in notebooks or Excel. Asking them to enter everything again is a tough sell. With Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) software, daily documentation gets easier. With SciSure's ELN, you can link experiments, protocols, and samples together without scrambling around endless sheets or folders. Reuse our experimental templates for routine work, start from scratch for a one-off experiment, and then share the record for a review. Check out our walkthrough in the video below. #ElectronicLabNotebookSoftware #LabDigitalization

The best lab safety software in the world is useless if nobody uses it. After more than a decade working with research institutions, one thing is clear: user adoption is just as important as functionality and price. Check out my blog post. How much does it cost when a scientist can’t find a sample or confirm where it came from? It’s more than the time spent searching. Experiments get delayed. Materials can be wasted. Someone has to piece together the sample’s history and how it connects to the research data. Labs pay for all of that, even when it doesn’t show up as a clear line item. One team featured in a piece I wrote for SciSure went from taking up to an hour to find a specific sample to finding it in under a minute. That’s more time for research. We’ve accepted a lot of searching and double-checking as part of lab work. Given the time and money at stake, I think it’s fair to ask why. Where does your team feel this most: lost time, repeated work, or gaps in sample history? https://lnkd.in/gmecpTKg #SampleManagement #ResearchData #LifeSciences

What is the best LIMS for your lab? I often see confusion when talking with scientists who are not yet familiar with these tools. LIMS are still sometimes perceived as systems designed mainly for rigid, highly structured production environments. Ask three different providers what their LIMS offers, and you may indeed get three very different answers. Labs can look similar from the outside, but their workflows, goals, compliance requirements, and day-to-day needs can be very different. And that is exactly why choosing the right system should start with a simple question: what is the purpose of your lab? Once that is clear, it becomes much easier to understand what kind of platform you actually need. In this new SciSure blog, I look at the main questions teams should ask themselves, and their providers, when evaluating a LIMS. I also explore why these platforms are not only relevant for QC environments, but can bring significant value to Ramp;D labs as well.Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/eNWKG6Ky #LIMS #RD #LabDigitalization@

When an experienced scientist leaves, your organization loses so much more than just one person. It can lose the reason a protocol was changed. The workaround for an unreliable instrument. The context behind an unusual result. Or the supplier relationship that kept a workflow moving. In fact, across 91 studies, employee turnover was consistently linked to disrupted operations and reduced capacity to innovate. This kind of tacit knowledge isn’t easy to formalize and transfer. And in a lab, that’s why recording the final result is not enough. Work needs to remain understandable after the person who performed it has moved on. At SciSure, we understand that retention matters, but no organization can eliminate turnover. The more durable strategy is to make sure that normal employee movement doesn't erase organizational memory. That's why a system of record should be treated as a continuity plan over just a compliance tool. If one of your most experienced scientists left on Friday, what would the rest of the team discover on Monday was never documented?
