My nan often said, “Comparison is the thief of your scheduled LinkedIn post idea.” So when I saw that another agency had published a comparison page pitching their agency against Salience | Human-First Search Marketing, I couldn’t resist. I’ll take it as a compliment 🙃 Especially this bit: “They are one of the strongest UK agencies for profit-led PPC alongside a broader multi-channel service mix.” Nice one, JudeLuxe 👍 Anyway, our Head of Paid, Jack, has just expanded the team again, so we’ve got a few new client slots, and so what crackin’ timing for talking about our Google Ads offering 😂 There’s quite a lot in this comparison that’s fair. There are also a few bits about Salience I’d update: Services Almost! We also do data & analytics alongside paid media, SEO, content, digital PR and CRO. Pricing Our entry point is a fixed £1,000/month retainer. We deal with brands spending from hundreds to six figures per month. Minimum ad spend We don’t have one. We simply won’t take on an account unless we believe there’s a credible route to positive growth and return. Strategy focus I’d say we’re a little more than POAS-aware 😅 It’s part of our reporting, planning and pretty much daily conversation. Vertical focus We’re roughly 70% DTC ecommerce. Mostly home, lifestyle and travel, with a little Ainsley Harriott sprinkle of finance and other niche lead-gen businesses. Senior strategist on every account They’re right that it’s tier-dependent, and I stand behind that. Our entry fees are deliberately accessible, and some smaller clients don’t need a heavyweight strategy team from day one. Sometimes they need brilliant fundamentals, good measurement and profitable growth. As the growth comes, so does the strategic resource for the account. Notice period We do use fixed terms, but we also build performance-based exits into agreements. Anyway, genuinely, cheers for the write-up and the free advertising 🙌 If you’re looking for a new PPC agency, I’d be well up for continuing this format. You tell us what you think you need and what you think Salience offers. I’ll tell you where you’re right, where you’re wrong, and whether I think we can actually help. Or we can just do a normal discovery call. That’s fine too 🙃

I told Michael Robinson 💜 not to bother entering us for the Prolific North top northern agencies list this year. He did it anyway. We made the list. 🙃 I said not to because we spent 2025 absolutely slamming any margin right back into the business to make Salience | Human-First Search Marketing a better agency. Our people. Leadership. Structure. Tech stack. The very way we do the work. Big changes across the board. We did this knowing that investing there would mean lower profitability in the short term; the benefits would always take longer to turn up than the costs. We only just made the Top 50 Digital Agencies list last year, so I thought there was no chance we’d make this year’s list on paper. We’re already seeing that investment pay off this year, which makes this bit of recognition even cooler. All that change and discomfort was worth it 😊 So, to still hit this list is fantastic. Made up. Surely that means we’re due a big climb up next year’s rankings… 👀 Reason 1,375 I owe Michael an apology 😂

Been a mad few weeks with lots of lovely things happening along the way. Here's one 😊 Salience | Human-First Search Marketing are shortlisted for their Digital PR campaign with The Independent Pharmacy. Always a good night. Looking forward to it!

We’ve been shortlisted for Best Use of PR in a Search Campaign at the UK Search Awards 2026, for our work with The Independent Pharmacy. When we started, search demand in their core categories was down 14%, AI Overviews were taking clicks, and the products people searched for most can’t legally be advertised. So we focused on making the pharmacy a name that journalists, Google and AI tools trust. In one quarter, that brought 175 pieces of coverage, 233 links and a 78% rise in search visibility. The full case study shows how we did it.

We analysed over 4,000 UK high streets to find the unhealthiest. The Sun liked the story so much, it sent a reporter to see the worst one for themselves. The campaign was for The Independent Pharmacy, and it’s now shortlisted for Best Use of PR in a Search Campaign at the UK Search Awards 2026. Behind it, the pharmacy’s clinicians signed off stories in a shared Slack channel, so we could write a release at 9am and be in the news by lunchtime. Read the case study to see how it added up to 175 pieces of coverage and a 78% rise in search visibility.

Shortlisted again. Salience is up for Best Large Digital PR Campaign at the UK Search Awards 2026. Look at that list. Every serious name in UK search is on it. Good company to be nominated alongside. Better to be fighting for the win. 25th November, The Troxy, London. Stay human. 💜
