“Asia Pacific has significant feedstock potential, but potential alone does not scale sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). What matters is whether supply is credible across markets, whether sustainability can be verified, and whether systems are aligned.” Lamberto Gaggiotti, Head of Green Energy at Apical, part of the RGE group of companies, spoke at the ASAFA Asia Sustainable Aviation Fuel Association panel during the Singapore Airshow 2026 on the foundational necessities to scaling SAF. In line with this, Apical Group has joined ASAFA, the Asia Sustainable Aviation Fuel Association, reinforcing its commitment to supporting the scale-up of sustainable aviation fuel across the Asia-Pacific region. Through ASAFA, Apical aims to contribute practical expertise in building traceable, sustainable, and reliable second-generation feedstock value chains, supporting the development of commercially viable SAF pathways and helping accelerate adoption across the region. At the Singapore Airshow 2026, I had the privilege of joining peers from across the Sustainable Aviation Fuel value chain for the ASAFA Asia Sustainable Aviation Fuel Association (ASAFA) panel discussion "Scaling SAF Feedstock in Asia Pacific: from potential to bankable supply". Alongside colleagues from Airbus, Aether Fuels, Neste, and S&P Global, we explored a key question for the industry: how do we unlock Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production at scale in the region? From an upstream perspective, at Apical the conversation begins with feedstock. Asia-Pacific has abundant bio-based resources. The challenge is not volume, but how we structure the supply chain to make that volume usable at scale. At Apical and across RGE, we approach feedstock viability through three practical pillars: • Availability Feedstock must be available consistently and at scale. SAF production cannot rely on seasonal or fragmented supply chains. • Authenticity Full traceability is essential. In a market where waste materials carry significant value, transparency protects both sustainability claims and industry credibility. At Apical, feedstock traceability extends to each mill and increasingly to plantation origin, supported by a strict verification process across the entire supply chain. • Acceptability A feedstock recognised under one legislative framework may not be eligible in another jurisdiction. This lack of alignment creates real operational barriers for both SAF producers and feedstock suppliers. This is why one word came up repeatedly during the panel discussion: standardisation. For SAF to scale across Asia-Pacific, several enablers must move forward at same pace: • Harmonised certification and sustainability standards across markets. • Consistent classification of feedstock across Customs and regulatory systems. • Robust traceability supply chains that safeguard feedstock integrity and industry credibility. • Policy coordination that allows feedstock and biofuels to move across borders. The opportunity is significant. Asia-Pacific has abundant feedstock and the required collection and refining capability. What is needed now is alignment across policy, markets and supply chains, to unlock that potential, create bankable demand and build a resilient SAF ecosystem. At Apical and RGE, we are committed to playing our role in building a sustainable and scalable feedstock platform that supports the growth of SAF business and the broader energy transition. In a year defined by complexity, what matters most is clarity of purpose, and consistency in how we show up for people and the planet. Some highlights from RGE’s past year: • We stayed focused on fundamentals: safety, operational discipline, and long-term value creation • We invested in people: building capability, strengthening leadership, and supporting teams across regions • We advanced sustainability with partners: protecting nature, improving resource efficiency, and strengthening community outcomes • We kept communities in view: because resilience is built together, not in isolation The path ahead will continue to test organisations across industries. What will define success is the ability to stay grounded in values, invest in people, and act with long-term purpose. Together with colleagues and partners across the business groups, APRIL, ASIA SYMBOL, Vinda SEA, Asian Agri, Apical, Bracell, Sateri, Asia Pacific Rayon (APR), Pacific Energy and Woodfibre LNG, I remain confident that by working together as one, we can continue building businesses that create value not only today, but for generations to come. Strong fundamentals. Empowered local teams. Long-term commitment. These are what enable companies to create value in complex markets. At the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos, Bernard Riedo, President of RGE Indonesia, reflects on why strong, consistent execution is required to turn ambition into delivery in fast-changing and emerging economies. One of my favourite projects each year is working on RGE’s annual highlights video since it reminds me just how much we’ve achieved. Bracell and Apical expanded operations in Brazil and Indonesia respectively, while Sateri launched The Lyocell Company to further strengthen our position as the world’s largest producer of lyocell. And we made good progress in our ongoing expansion in cleaner and renewable energy, with Woodfibre LNG passing the halfway mark in construction, and our JV with Moeve to produce sustainable aviation fuel on track for completion by the end of the year. Here’s to more success in 2026! #RGE #BusinessGrowth #2025Highlights #YearinReview

In 2025, RGE remained focused on sustainable, profitable growth. Guided by a three-part strategy to strengthen our core businesses, move downstream, and advance our green pivot, we made progress across the Group through a wide range of initiatives, including: • Sateri launched The Lyocell Company, cementing our position as the world’s largest producer of lyocell • Bracell inaugurated its tissue mill in Lençóis Paulista, marking a major step into its expansion into tissue • Apical expanded production in Dumai, strengthening downstream market position in oleochemical and functional fats • Apical’s sustainable aviation fuel joint venture with Moeve is on track for completion in 2026 • Vinda secured its position as China’s leading tissue brand for the 10th consecutive year • Woodfibre LNG marked its halfway point to completion, set to become the world’s first net-zero LNG export facility • Pacific Energy welcomed the first vessel at the Yangjiang LNG regasification terminals Watch the full video for highlights of our journey and milestones in 2025. #RGE #BusinessGrowth #2025Highlights #YearinReview APRIL Asia Pacific Rayon (APR) ASIA SYMBOL Asian Agri Vinda SEA
