【Driving Force to Deliver Recruit Value】 Why would anyone share the very thing that makes them good at their job? At Recruit, sharing what makes you successful isn't just encouraged. It's part of what makes the organization stronger. Every year, employees across Recruit Group in Japan take the stage at FORUM to share success stories across the boundaries of the businesses they worked in. The Recruit Competence Institute, a specialized in-house organization for knowledge management, then works with each presenter to turn that success into knowledge that can be applied across businesses and job functions. “The moment we put our experiences into words, they no longer belong to us alone. That's true of successes, but it's also true when a project ends before it was supposed to. The insights gained along the way will always give a hint to whoever takes on the next challenge. Facing the facts of both success and failure, and doing the unglamorous work of recording that knowledge, I am convinced that this accumulation is the driving force that keeps renewing the value Recruit delivers," said Yuki Shima, General Manager of the Institute.

As AI becomes more capable, a key question is what that means for the role people play in hiring. At Indeed FutureWorks 2026, one theme came through repeatedly: as AI takes on more routine hiring tasks, people can spend more time building relationships, exercising judgement and thinking creatively. Hiring has traditionally been fragmented across sourcing, screening, interviews and evaluation. FutureWorks showed what that shift could look like in practice, with Indeed bringing those steps together into a more connected experience. By moving beyond individual hiring tools, Indeed is working to help employers and job seekers find each other more easily, while allowing people to focus on the parts of hiring where human input matters most. For Recruit Holdings Co., Ltd., this is an important part of our ambition to Simplify Hiring: using technology to make the process simpler while keeping people at the center.
