When we started putting AI into Qwilr over the past couple of years, we realized that something was wrong. AI is amazing at many things. But following rules every single time? Not one of them. This is because at its core - AI is probabilistic. But for many things in sales, you need to follow the rule every single time - whether that's for pricing, for quoting, for contracts, or even just for including real testimonials, not some hallucinated quote the AI made up. Thankfully, making software rules is something that us gurus of SaaS are unbelievably fantastic at 😅 So we at Qwilr went on a massive mission over the past year to build a system that lets you set your rules across the entirety of your proposal content. Designed so that AI can help your sales reps more than ever before. So now, at the start of every new deal, you can simply grab the CRM data, grab your call transcripts, and send them over to Qwilr to help you create a new proposal. The AI will quickly grab all of the context it needs, flow through all the rules you've set up, and help you create a near-perfect proposal. One that follows configuration rules (pricing rules, contract rules, brand rules, etc) while still allowing the AI to write amazing copy for things like executive summaries and ROI sections, and anything else you'd like. It lets you use the best of AI with the best of rules, in whatever balance works best for you and your team. This is our AI-powered Smart Proposal Engine, and we cannot wait for you to try it out.

We asked for a smarter way to work. Perhaps we should have been more specific… Don’t get me wrong, AI is UNBELIEVABLE at certain jobs. At others? Not so much… Vibe-coded proposals, for example, are all well and good until your AI agent randomly decides to include a 40% discount or a customer testimonial / logo / case study from someone who doesn’t exist. Wonderfully - Qwilr's Smart Proposal Engine solves this - you get the speed and smarts of AI, but working within the guardrails of your sales rules. Head over to the wonderful qwilr dot com to learn more! (P.S HUGE kudos to the very talented Dara and Lauren - who LinkedIn will inexplicably not let me tag - for their work on @Qwilr’s latest creative! Something very fun to do with AI!)

The Qwilr of 2024 would not survive in 2027. And I'm saying that as the CEO. Seriously - Qwilr in 2024 was designed to help you create proposals that outshone the competition. It handled everything from pricing to contracts, and all the things you need to get that all-important signature. And don't get me wrong, we still do all of these things! But AI has totally changed the game. One of the core pillars of our mission at Qwilr is to help our customers create the perfect proposal, instantly. The 2024 version of Qwilr was our best effort at that, using the old constraints of what software used to be. But with AI, we can do so much more, and take our customers so much closer to that true ideal - so that sales teams can now truly create the perfect proposal, instantly, every time. AI can now read all of your CRM notes, all of your call transcripts, and even look at your winning past proposals to help you create a perfectly personalized proposal instantly. We've also built a system that lets you set the right rules to run alongside this AI, to make sure that everything that needs a correct answer gets one. Qwilr now lets you choose the right mix for your organization between the structure of rules and the flexibility of AI. Internally, we call this: vibes for this, rules for that. It's awesome - head over to our website to check it out!

Big few months at Qwilr, and I think the Smart Proposal Engine is the most useful thing we’ve shipped. The idea is simple: let AI do the heavy lifting on personalisation, while your sales process stays in your hands. Every rep sends something on-brand and accurate, without spending a day building it. Add rebuilt quoting, a new Microsoft Dynamics integration and Gong call data feeding into proposals, and it’s a very different product to a year ago. Guy Hall put together a great rundown of everything new. Link in the comments.

If your proposal needs a cover email explaining the proposal, it’s not telling a story. Buyers skim. Give them something worth staying for.

We’ve all had a Gil moment. Great call. Buyer’s nodding along. Sale is in sight! Then you spend the next three hours on the proposal. Digging out last quarter’s template, hunting for the right case study, double-checking you haven’t quoted old pricing. By the time it lands, the buyer’s moved on to their next meeting and the momentum has gone. Most reps feel they have to pick: send it fast and it’s generic, or make it good and lose the afternoon. That’s the trade-off we built the Smart Proposal Engine at Qwilr to remove. Reps answer a few questions about the deal. It pulls in the CRM data, picks up what came up on the call (the competitor they mentioned, the objection they raised), and builds the proposal around your team’s sales rules. Right pricing, right content, ready to send in minutes. So the proposal arrives while the buyer still remembers why they were excited. How are your teams keeping momentum between a great call and the proposal that follows?
