The modern workplace doesn't stop at the office anymore. For millions of remote and hybrid employees, the home network carries the same weight as the corporate one. And when it struggles, work stops. "The last hundred feet is where enterprise IT falls off a cliff. Corporate tools stop at the VPN, and after that it's a black box. The reality is the last mile now lives in someone's living room." — Dave Wechsler, Plume CBO, speaking to UC Today And that living room keeps getting busier. Across Plume's global network, time spent on LLMs has jumped 300%. Video calls, streaming, gaming, connected devices, AI workloads, all of it runs on the same residential connection, at the same time. When the call drops or the AI tool lags, the subscriber doesn't troubleshoot. They blame the provider. Enterprise IT can't help because their tools ended at the VPN. ISPs have the data to close that gap. The ones acting on it, learning how households actually use their networks and adapting in real time, will define what connectivity looks like from here. The rest are waiting for the support call. Read Kristian McCann's full piece at UC Today.

Netflix became the unofficial speed test for broadband. If it buffered, subscribers blamed their ISP. That one application reshaped how entire networks were built and judged. LLMs are getting there faster. Across Plume-enabled homes, AI app data volume has grown roughly 2,000% year-on-year, led by tools from OpenAI and Anthropic. And the usage is shifting. Subscribers aren't just asking questions anymore. They're running agentic workflows: multi-step, persistent, latency-sensitive. When one of those breaks mid-task, there's no buffering icon. There's a failed deliverable, a missed deadline, a lost client. For ISPs, speed tests won't catch this. Uptime dashboards won't flag it. The networks that hold subscriber confidence are the ones that can see application-level behavior in real time and respond before the problem registers. Our Senior Director of Product Management, Justinas Bisikirskas dug into what LLM adoption actually looks like inside real homes and what it demands from the networks serving them. Dan Herscovici, our CEO, was featured in CNBC's coverage of the Semafor World Economy Summit alongside voices from Anthropic, Gallup, and Infosys. The big question at the event: does AI take jobs or make them better? AI isn't replacing leaders, it's revealing who has a plan and who's been winging it. Jon Clifton, CEO of Gallup, just reported that half of American workers have used AI. Only 13% touch it daily. That gap has nothing to do with the technology. At Plume, 96% of employees use AI, from engineering to marketing. The right question: who in your company is accountable for making AI actually work? At Plume, that person exists. We have a dedicated AI leader driving strategy and infrastructure every day, it's not a side project, it's her entire job. Companies that make AI a leadership mandate, not just a tech line item, will build better jobs, better output, and better connections. Here's how others at the summit are thinking about it: "The really important thing is knowing the right questions to ask and having intuitions about what would be interesting if you collided different insights from many different disciplines." — Jack Clark, Co-Founder, Anthropic "The approach we've chosen is to re-skill all our 300,000 employees on AI tools." — Salil Parekh, CEO, Infosys Reported by Sarah Min, CNBC Read more: https://lnkd.in/g8f4CPRX #AI #FutureOfWork #Plume #BuildBetterConnections

One year ago, we made culture a business imperative, not a slogan. Today, Plume has earned Most Loved Workplaces® certification, recognized for the depth of emotional connection our team members feel to their work, their colleagues, and the future we're building together. Louis Carter, CEO of Most Loved Workplace®, said it best: "Plume demonstrates exactly what the SPARK model reveals in the highest-performing organizations: values that are lived not posted, and leaders who create the conditions for people to love where they work. That is not soft. That is a competitive advantage." When Dan Herscovici joined as CEO in April 2025, rebuilding trust and strengthening accountability became Day 1 priorities. Not an HR initiative, a company-wide commitment, from leadership through every team, in every country we operate. The results show up in our employees' own words: 🔹 "There is a beautiful collaborative spirit that runs through Plume. We problem solve as a team, challenging each other in a psychologically safe manner." 🔹 "The new tone being set at the top of the company is refreshing and reaffirming." 🔹 "We have an incredible culture of transparency, empowerment and accountability." As Dan put it: "You cannot deliver world-class experiences for over 450 ISP customers if the people building the products don't feel respected and heard." Our Chief People Officer, Lorie Boyd shared: "This recognition is based on employee voice, it's not what we say about ourselves, it's what our people are telling us." We intend to keep earning it, every single day. Building better connections starts from within: https://lnkd.in/dH4PBZpC #Plume #MostLovedWorkplace #OnePlume

The FCC just changed the conversation on routers. So what does it actually mean? In an upcoming interview, our CTO, Chris Griffiths, breaks it down: Here’s the reality: • No impact to devices already in market • No immediate disruption • Clear signals for how future routers will be built, sourced, and approved in the U.S. This is a moment to think differently about how networks are built and scaled. “This isn’t about today. It’s about what’s coming next.” Think ~12+ months out as we move toward Wi-Fi 8. Chris’s advice: 🔹 Read the FCC guidance 🔹 Understand where requirements are heading 🔹 Build with flexibility now, not later With 40+ global ODM partners and deployments across 450+ leading ISPs, Plume is ready for what’s next. Under Chris’s leadership, Plume is open by design, hardware-agnostic and built to give partners the flexibility to adapt as requirements evolve, without disruption. Here’s a quick snippet from Chris. #Broadband #WiFi #ISP #Connectivity #Telecom #NetworkInnovation #FCC #Regulations #Router
