Funnily enough, this sounds almost exactly like the post I shared yesterday Except this time, I actually have data to back it up. Our annual E-commerce Visual Trend Report just launched, and it turns out the findings pretty much confirm what I was arguing yesterday. Or maybe my post from yesterday was inspired by the report... Either way, of all the things that could be holding AI-generated content back, consumer trust came out on top. In our latest industry survey, 54.2% of e-commerce professionals identified consumer trust as a factor limiting their use of AI-generated content - more than legal concerns, product accuracy, or consistency. And when we asked consumers what would make them trust a brand more, authentic content was the most selected answer. Which is a pretty interesting combination, especially considering how quickly AI-generated imagery is becoming almost indistinguishable from traditional photography. Because I think we’re getting to a point where the question is no longer whether an image looks real, but whether consumers trust what they’re seeing and whether they believe it accurately represents what they’re buying. And as I argued yesterday, I don’t necessarily think AI itself is the biggest threat to that trust. I think how brands choose to use it, and perhaps even more importantly, how they communicate that use to consumers, will make all the difference. AI is fundamentally changing how we create e-commerce imagery, but consumer expectations around authenticity, transparency, and accurate product representation haven’t disappeared just because we’ve found a faster way to produce content - quite the opposite, apparently. We explore this and plenty more in our newly launched E-commerce Visual Trend Report. Read it here: https://lnkd.in/e9SBRWiG

53.5% of shoppers say authentic content is what builds the most trust. But what does authentic even look like anymore? Film grain, imperfect lighting, slightly unpolished imagery. All those little details we used to associate with a human behind the camera can now be recreated with AI. Which makes authenticity a much more interesting conversation than simply whether something looks real. We talk about this in our latest E-commerce Visual Trend Report: Authenticity Moves Again. We've been looking at how brands are creating content, what shoppers expect, and what authenticity might mean heading into 2027. Read it here: https://lnkd.in/eai-AWSt

Pixelz Inc Annual E-commerce Visual Trend Report Do you also find it amazing in this industry seeing how quickly things change? What seemed like a big prediction a year ago can already be part of someone's everyday workflow. And some of the things we thought would take off? Well, maybe we're still figuring those out. Hence the relevance, and power of our Pixelz Inc annual E-commerce Visual Trend Report! Instead of "just guessing what's next", we've thoroughly investigated during the past few months, closely reviewing consumer behaviour, industry perspectives, and what's actually happening on e-commerce product pages. And now it's all in one place! Our 2027 E-commerce Visual Trend Report is officially out, and again a very interesting read! Take a look at what we can see: https://lnkd.in/eypyAYkY Success, and Best regards, Richard.

The rules of e-commerce content creation are changing. And it's not just because of AI. We've just released our latest E-commerce Visual Trend Report at Pixelz, and there are some interesting findings worth taking another look into. One of the things that stands out is how much the definition of good content is shifting. Authenticity is no longer just about making something look real. With AI now capable of recreating nearly every visual style, consumer trust and product accuracy are becoming much more important. Entertainment is making a comeback. Brands aren't just competing with other brands anymore. They're competing with everything else consumers spend their time watching. And even the traditional PDP is changing. Our audit of 200 product pages across 100 brands shows that there's no longer one standard approach to presenting a product. To me, this all points to a bigger shift. For years, e-commerce production has been built around consistency, efficiency, and delivering a defined set of images. Those things still matter. But the expectations for content are expanding. Creative teams need to think beyond producing assets and start thinking about how to create content that can serve different purposes, formats, and channels, without making production unnecessarily complicated. And that's where AI becomes a bigger part of the conversation. Not as the trend itself, but as one of the technologies that can help teams respond to all these changes. There's plenty more in the report, including consumer research, industry perspectives, and a few predictions for 2027. Take a look at the full report here: https://bit.ly/4zZa1lu

Bringing AI into the mix hasn’t been about chasing trends for us, it’s been about solving real challenges by combining people and technology🤝 At Pixelz, we’ve worked with AI for years. But launching Digital Twins feels like a real turning point. Why? Because the potential is actually really really practical. Brands can now reuse a single model across campaigns, platforms, and formats — no reshoots needed. That kind of flexibility changes everything for teams working with tight timelines and tighter budgets. Costs go down. Turnaround speeds up. And suddenly, the creative process opens up in new ways. Storytelling and branding become the focus (the kind of creativity creatives wan*t* to do every day). Concepts can be further developed, brands can build identity, and create cohesive stories that feel true to the brand’s DNA. Genuine and intentional. That’s what makes this moment exciting. It’s not even just about the technology. It’s about the freedom to move faster, create more, and imagine even bigger.
